Your eyes remind me of the afternoon sky,

My blanket of stormy grey blue,

Distinct, and always changing.

Almost like the ocean.

I don’t know why it’s so hard,

To stop thinking about you.

Your words are like the wind,

A soft breeze mumbling into my ear,

Encouraging, and comforting me,

You’re my security,

I can feel you strengthen me,

To stay safe from mortality.

Your face is the emblem of divinity,

A reverie that lulls me out of Reality,

Pleasant, leaving me unharmed,

You’ve become my dreams,

I don’t ever want them to fade,

To sleep in my mind.

Your arms are chains around my soul,

Holding my novelty to a mortal prison,

Watching, and Guarding me,

Like a lock around my heart,

I want to feel this way forever,

To hide the key.

You are my Odysseus,

Following your ambitions at any cost,

You keep me waiting,

Like Jane, Marguerite, and Helen,

I can’t even imagine,

To live a life without you.
