I lay in bed

Thoughts go into my head

That deserve being on paper

I dive out of bed

Grab my glasses and then

They leave faster then flowing water

I try and think

But already they’ve leaved

And now I’m left with nothing

I go back to bed

Put my glasses a way

And lay down my head

But no sooner then

More words come into my head

Faster than flowing water

I dive out of bed

Why can’t they stay

Longer then flowing water

They deserve to be seen

But they don’t stay

So I lay in bed

And more words come to my head

And I stay and speak them

I go to sleep

Hoping to remember

But then I sleep

And forget them when I wake up
