Cold Steel

Forged underground by dwarves

and above by men and elves

made for war

and stocking shelves

Swords, axes, and hammers too

all made of cold steel

end up covered in blood

after the damage they deal

Many sizes and shapes

made for armored and not alike

waiting for it's

next chance to strike

Swords, the weapon of choice

for most on the battlefield

flying through the air real swift

a sword they will all wield

Sharp blades

aimed at foes

as the battle

comes to a close

Many lie dead

on the ground

arrows embedded in them

the reason for fighting won't be found

The battle is over

one side prevailed

the pointless battle

it will be hailed
