Depression

I long to scream aloud,

But I don't know what to say.

But it's not like anyone would listen;

It's not like anyone cares anyway.

How is it, that life could seem so right,

Then turn around and be so wrong?

I thought everything was perfect,

But maybe it was a lie all along.

I'm so numb to my surroundings,

So why do I feel so much pain?

My heart cries with every drop

Of blood against my veins.

Sleep calls to me -

My only true friend.

It puts to rest all my anguish;

But, I'll wake up in the end.

-------------------------------------

No happiness is never-ending,

Eventually, tears will form…

Never trust a good thing,

Dreams to nightmares, will transform.
