I start to cry
You turn away
No comfort to offer
No words to say

Give me some emotion
A sign that shows you care
You only offer nothingness
In your hollow unfeeling stare

I'll plea until there is nothing left
No more anything in me
Just fake it and pretend
I'm so blind I'll never see

Please don't leave me here alone
God! Don't walk away
I promise I'll do anything
Just say what I need you to say

(silently weeps the "poet")

Just tell me that you want me
That I am all you need
Oh I'd be so happy
So foolish and naive

I know it isn't true
But how I long it to be
I'm selffish beyond seeing
And no one ever wants me

So I'll sit where I am
And I'll wait right here
Til truth finally speaks
And it becomes clear

Cause to be left is one thing
To be lonely another
But they both sting the same
when one follows the other
