Whispering mellifluous rhymes

to sweet ears that just won't listen

no matter how hysterical my words get

my baby all I hear is the silence

Where has the heartbeat gone?

-

the paint has barely dried but

I think it's cracking already

the room is so cold and bare

I shut the door because

I can't bear to go in

this time or ever

-

my baby all I hear is the silence

where has you heartbeat gone?

my heart is empty without you here

and I know that

Heaven can never be good enough for you

-

I barely knew you,

only in ragged silk dreams,

black and white photos

but I could never see you face

only the shape of you

-

I was laughing at the time you said goodbye

because I couldn't hear your cries

like you can't hear mine

don't think me cruel

because I love you

-

my baby all I hear is the silence

where has you heartbeat gone?

my heart is empty without you here

and I know that

Heaven can never be good enough for you

-

Singing lullabies in the dark

so you won't see my tears

but I can feel you've gone

my baby, all I hear is silence

Where is your heartbeat?

A/N: well, this is supposed to be a sad one :( about miscarriage. or abortion, I guess. Piano and voice.
