AN: This is another one that I really like as well.
Cold Neutron
When she falls;
She falls hard.
It sinks down through her,
Like a star-dusted obsidian that drops
Falling motionless through cold space.
Red eyes glaring holes
Through her twin black souls
Straight through her eyes,
Glaring at the world beyond.
Strain harder, harder, until
Your own beat
Screams in your blood,
Can’t you hear that?
The laughter, malignant personified,
At the very centre of her own
Innocent giggle?
Just to look at her
That inside, evil lives
Within good?
Futile hope against the devil;
It’s already inside.
The door that leads into your mind;
When it has always been inside?
Inside you. Part of you. It is you.
Buried memories, half-forgotten
Half-remembered-half-imagined
Half-rewritten-half-hidden,
It, he, she, they – stand
Queuing for their chance.
We feel their pull, beautiful luring voices
Temptation as soothing grey tendrils
Just one chance to, just once – you understand,
Right? Just one last chance to give in? –
Let the refreshing ice venom wash over.
Dense neutron of stars far above,
You sink just like that stone of hurt.
Let them take control, for just a minute
Whilst you rest in peace.
The ghost is inside.
In your head.
May blessings follow in your footsteps,
Ethereal Kisses
