an ode to lost souls

Though my sins may not be forgiven, I pray for those who may still be saved.

This piece is dedicated to those I have killed spiritually, one way or another.

i pray for the coming of the angels

and of the taste of salvation

i pray for the pardon of sins

and spiritual absolution

may those who've been lost to the dark

be returned to your grace

may they find eternal repose

in your heavenly haze

i pray for the return of paradise

in a world now bound by creed

i pray for the freedom of man

from the clattering chains of greed

may those who've been damned to suffer

be chastised in your name

may those who've fallen and faltered

be lifted whence they came

i pray for the redemption of my soul

the gift of mercy from your hands

and though i may ne'er be forgiven

i pray's long's my epitaph stands:

may those who've sinned be thus given

the chance of deliverance

may those who seek your kingdom be

assured the gates of the heavens.
