Cast Away

Cast away all her life

Betrayal stained blood along the knife

The one used to wound her, bleed her, leave her to die

"No one cared," plagued her mind

She surrendered to this lie

Her days faded to black night

Her sight blind of hope

On her own blood, left to choke

Drained of breath

A hollow shell

The flames of betrayal

Burning holes through her dying soul

She looked to the heavens and wept

A feather of holy porcelain fell

Resting beside her as she slept

She awoke to the image of her divine Savior

A smile upon her soul

For she was not the first betrayed

The darkness laughed and opened the scars made

But did not triumph, for she was at last saved.
