Forgotten and alone

under the marvelous dome

of the bright black sky overhead

I stand alone

betrayed with a wound in my back

trying to recall what happened

but being blinded by what will

Trouble and despair haunt me

and I’ve nowhere to go

but between your arms

yet you repel me

as if I were contagious with plague

Why, cruel world, do you damn me

why am I always alone in sulfurous hell

feeling the heat of the tides burning beneath me

the betrayal a quartz knife in my back

blood doused in orange sulfur

Lucy has my heart

and stores it within it’s bosom

where all is compressed and active

where a radiance of life is only theory

where my emotions are ball park

Why was I condemned to be too much

a radical luminescence scarring this land

too much for them, and shunned for life

being held down by primitive fear

and pushed out by prejudice

now I’ll go

forgotten and alone

as if erased with a bottle of swift white-out

no more will my radiance be felt about

and no more will the radical be thought

So

Good-bye

good-bye

My friend of hate

Good-bye

good-bye

My precious fate
