GOD CALLED IN SICK TODAY;

i.
god called in sick today
and the clouds fell on our heads
and the stars crashed into towers

ii.
I woke up like this,
with the stars shooting out of my walls
and clipped angel wings on the floor

iii.
he died too young
and brought his electronic toy car to heaven
then drove it off a cloud

iv.
I’m going to fix the world
and change all bullets into long, red thread
and make all knives teenage-proof.

v.
“you have reached the end of the world”
read the lime fluorescent sign that hung crooked on the nail
so I turned around and walked off a cloud

A/N: these are just experiences with a limited number of lines all reflecting on the same topic as the title. just wanted to try something different. I think I’m obsessed with clouds & angels.
