The Dreamer

By: The Unknown AKA Shanna Heise

But those who are not held by the call of the

cursed earth may see those things that never were, yea, even many

will look to the skies, and feel as though their home

is not their Home”

The Uttering of the Ancients

Clock above toll, midnight, the Dreamer toss and turn

lost far within his visions, never to return

He renders past reality, other places have him now,

In his mind he walks

High and far above the clouds.

He walks within the forest, he dance ‘neath the moon

He lays in tall and swaying grasses,

As a pouring rain falls down.

The Dreamer sees the heavens,

He walk on through the gate,

He drinks a cup of fine wine aged

A billion years of taste.

The Dreamer walks through forests

That were old when man was young

He glimpses to the cosmos

He touches dying suns

He sees and does all these things

No man has ever done

Some would drive a man to madness

But theses drive him to the gun

When he woke into the world

And saw all things as they had become

He forsook reality

In the barrel of the gun

And now he roams ever outwards

walks in the shadows as a dream

On the world he was prisoner

In the cosmos finally free
