Okay, where did we leave off now...? Ah yes, the Valentine's story. Well, this is what I've been working hard on for a couple weeks now. Now that it's exam week, the next chapter might come out by Monday.
Replies to the reviews from the originalEnglish Paper
R.T. michaels: Is it really our fault that no one ever got pictures of us with a digital camera? :D And don't worry, me and Kassy worked this whole thing out....it's gonna be hilarious.
Allison: Dude, you reviewed twice.
THIS CHAPTER HAS SO MUCH FORESHADOWING IN IT FOR ONE OF THE NEXT STORIES!!! IT'S SO EXCITING!!! (squeals excitedly) Okay, maybe not a lot of foreshadowing, but...
Chapter Six: Bobert and Selena’s Date
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU CAN’T PICK US UP? I DON’T KNOW WHERE THE PLACE IS!” squeaked Bobert into the phone. “You have other plans. Of course. THANKS A LOT, HYDRO.” He clicked off the phone and sighed. “Now what am I supposed to do?” And then he spied his salvation sitting on the coffee table.
“Oh look. Selena’s diary.” Bobert walked over towards it nonchalantly, looking around for anybody to make sure the coast was clear, and then pushed it over. It didn’t come open. Bobert picked it back up, opened it, and then promptly placed it back on the floor. “…it fell. And look. It is open. I better put it back.” Then he picked it back up and started to read it.

Dear Diary,
Tonight was amazing. I met this wonderful boy named Bobert. He’s really quite handsome and funny and sweet…
“She thinks I’m handsome,” thought Bobert, gloating.
He reminds me so much of…well, that’s not important right now, I guess. He and his friends rescued Victor and I from our ghost state in our old house…They even beat the curse. Victor and I are both alive again. Victor said that we could no longer live at our old home, that we had to move, because people still thought we were dead. So…Bobert said that I could live with his family. That his older brother had left for college the previous year, and if me and him could explain the whole story to the Taylor family (that’s Bobert’s family), that they would probably understand. And here I am now.
“Yeah, I remember that. It took a lot more convincing than I thought it would.” Bobert rolled his eyes.
Selena walked in, looking around the room as if she were searching for something. Bobert had his back turned to her. “Bobert, have you seen my diary?”
Bobert turned around, quickly hiding the diary behind his back. “Uhhhhhhhhh, nooooooooooo…” He jumped on the couch nervously, grinning upwards at Selena.
Selena looked him over “Okay…hey, are you okay?”
“Oh yeah, just fine!” squeaked Bobert.
“Then why do you look so nervous?”
“Uhhhhhhhh… cuuuuuuuuzzzzzzzzzzz… ummmmmmmmmmm… IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII… dooooooooon’t knoooooooow?”
Selena eyed Bobert skeptically. “Bobert, are you sure everything’s okay?”
Bobert grinned nervously. “Yep! Peachy!”
“Okay…if you see my diary, don’t read it. Just give it back.” Selena narrowed her eyes threateningly. Her diary was the one thing she was so protective of; otherwise, she was pretty pleasant.
“Okay, angel…” Bobert smiled as Selena left the room and sighed, relieved that he wasn’t caught. He flipped to another page of Selena’s diary.

Dear Diary,
Tonight was so much fun. We played a prank on Copo by making him believe that someone was killing all of us off. Bobert and I were the first to be “killed” by “poison” in the fondue. Then we went downstairs and watched TV and played games and did that sort of thing. Yeah…he kissed me a couple times. I love it when he kisses me by surprise.
Bobert blinked in shock. He wasn’t sure if he should keep reading or not. The curious and stupid side of him told him to keep reading. The cautious and practical side of him told him to stop.
Now, dear reader, which side actually exists?
That’s the side that won.
Bobert continued reading.
I mean, it’s like…hmmmmm. I feel like he really loves me. I mean, I know I’m a huge idealist, but…heh, look at me. Sitting here on my bed giggling over that stupid thought.
“She giggles over me,” thought Bobert smugly.
Anyways…the prank worked really well. And Bobert, if you’re reading this, STOP READING!!!
Bobert turned a couple pages over.

Dear Diary,
Tonight Bobert and I went out. We went to a movie, and it was really cool. He put his arm around my shoulder and I was leaning into him for most of the movie.
“What is with Selena and the details?” wondered Bobert.
Then after the movie, we went out to eat at this ice cream place. It was…interesting. These guys were “hitting on” me, I guess, and Bobert…
Bobert suddenly remembered that date and smiled proudly to himself. “Oh yeah. I kick #$$.” He flipped over a page. (A/N: One of these days we're gonna stop censoring like in The Other Chronicles)

Dear Diary,
Tonight I’m at Q’s house for a sleepover. It’s a lot of fun. We’re “watching” movies, doing make-up- yeah, Emerald’s wearing make-up!
Bobert laughed. “Oh I want to see that!”
We’re also playing Truth or Dare and listening to Emerald’s plan to take over the world. I figure it won’t be so bad to record the truths I ask in here, or truths that were asked to me.
To Emerald: “Exactly how much do you like Pyro?”
Answer:
But before Bobert could read the answer, the diary was yanked out of his hands. He looked upwards to see Selena glaring at him. He had never made Selena so angry. Yes, he had once flushed the toilet when she was taking a shower (it was an accident). Yes, he had accidentally knocked her toothbrush into the toilet once. Yes, he had eaten the last of her favorite cereal once. Yes, he had even once set her homework on fire. But never had he messed up THIS bad.
“You dirty little…” started Selena, not finishing her sentence.
“I was trying to get ideas for our date!” pleaded Bobert. “I had plans, but something happened and I have to come up with something else!” He got down on his knees. “PLEASE DON’T HURT ME!”
Selena continued to glare at Bobert. “This date had better be good.” And with that, she stormed away to her room.
Bobert fell backwards, staring up at the ceiling, and groaned. “I am screwed.”
----------
Bobert knocked at Selena’s bedroom door timidly several hours later dressed in dark blue jeans and a white shirt- his “fancy pants” outfit. He had a slight notion of what he was going to do. Selena opened the door slowly, staring at Bobert coldly. She apparently was still mad about her diary. “G-g-good eve-evening, m-m’lady,” stuttered Bobert nervously. This was definitely not the introduction he had played out in his mind. “Um…are you ready to go?”
Selena had her “fancy pants” outfit on as well- a black mid-length skirt and red sleeveless top. “Yeah. I’m ready.”
Bobert smiled. “I’m really sorry I read your diary, Selena. I didn’t read much, honest!”
“LET’S JUST GO, BOBERT.”
Bobert knew he was already pushing it, so the two walked silently down the hall to the coat closet. They got on their coats, and Bobert pulled something out of his coat pocket. It was a red rose with a very short stem. He smiled and offered it to Selena silently. Selena took it in her hands and put it in her hair. “Thank you,” she said quietly.
“You’re welcome,” said Bobert. He took her hand. “Come on!”
-----------
It was a very quiet car drive. Selena had put in a mix CD- her “Unhappy” CD. Bobert knew that it was not a good sign.
“Where are we going?” asked Selena.
“Ummmm…well, I know this karaoke place…” said Bobert. He knew that Selena had an amazing singing voice, because she always sang in the shower. (This story is turning out to be very musical). (A/N: I can see it now- English Paper: The Musical!)
“Oh…okay,” said Selena. They drove the rest of the way in complete silence.
---------
“I’ll take your coat,” offered Bobert when they got to the place and got their table. It looked like a 50’s restaurant, and you almost wanted to start singing a round of “Happy Days”. How ironic.
“That’s okay,” said Selena coolly, taking off her coat and setting it down.
Bobert smiled at Selena nervously. “So, ah, what do you want to eat?”
“Just a pop for now,” said Selena. “I’m not that hungry.” She never did get that hungry when she was mad.
Bobert cleared his throat. “Um, are you sure? They have really good chicken…and stuff…”
“Yeah. I’m sure.” Selena looked at him coldly and sat down.
Bobert cringed. “Owch…” “Um, okay then. I’m gonna go order then.” Bobert left, leaving Selena alone.
“I can’t believe he read my diary. How much did he read? I know he was on the page with Q’s sleepover…mmm…I’m not ready for him to find out that…” Selena was interrupted in her thoughts when a boy walked up to her. “Oh boy…”
“Good evening,” greeted the boy.
“Evening,” repeated Selena cautiously.
“What’s a pretty girl like you doing here all by yourself?”
“Oh, I’m not by myself.”
“Here with family?” asked the boy hopefully.
“Sort of…my boyfriend.”
“He actually left you alone?”
Selena laughed. “He’s getting our food!”
“Ohh…” The boy was grasping at straws. “Will he mind it if we talk?”
“Perfect revenge…” “Haven’t we been talking already?”
The boy grinned. “My name’s Robbie.”
“Short for Robert, I assume.” “Why is it always…?”
“Yep. What’s your name?”
“Selena. Nice to meet you.” Selena held out her hand, and instead of shaking it like she had meant, Robbie kissed it. “Be glad my boyfriend isn’t here.”
Robbie laughed. “He gets jealous?”
“And you do not want to see what he does to boys like you.” Selena recalled what happened the last time boys flirted with her. “It’s not pretty.”
“I’m a little scared to meet him. How big is he?”
“Not much bigger than me.”
Robbie laughed. “Oh really?”
“Yeah, but trust me on this.” Selena smirked as she saw Bobert coming back with the food and he saw Robbie sitting at the table. “Here he comes.”
“Ohh, I’ll be going then,” said Robbie, getting up. “Nice talking to you.”
“You too, sweets,” said Selena as Bobert walked up to the table, winking at Robbie. Robbie was a bit surprised at this, but shrugged it off, and left.
Bobert sat down. “Here’s your pop,” he said, giving Selena her pop.
“Thank you,” said Selena, taking it and sipping it, watching Robbie. “Ohhhh, this had better work…”
Bobert tried to eat his french fries peacefully, but just couldn’t. “Who was that?” he asked.
“Oh, that was Robbie.”
“Robbie, huh?”
“Yeah. Nice guy.”
“Have you known him?”
“Nope, just met. He’s cute!”
Bobert could’ve been colored green. “…I’m cute, aren’t I?”
Selena stuck out her lower lip. “Awwww, is Bobert jealous?” “It’s working…”
“NO…” Bobert fidgeted uncomfortably in his seat. “Maybe…” he mumbled under his breath.
Selena smirked. “Oh yeah. He’s jealous.” “Bobert…”
“Okay, fine! I’m jealous, are you happy?” Bobert threw up the french fry he had in the air and it landed in an old lady’s drink nearby.
Selena grinned. “Yes.”
Bobert frowned. “Fine.”
The two sat in silence for a while, just eating and drinking. Then Selena spoke up again. “How much did you read from my journal?” she asked.
Bobert froze. “Uhh…well…I read the entry from when you first moved in…and from New Year’s…and a date when I totally kicked butt…and the first part of Q’s sleepover. Emerald really wore make-up?”
Selena, ignoring Bobert’s last question, asked, “Why?”
“I wanted to get ideas of where to go for tonight…because something happened to the old plans…”
“What?”
“Hydro got a date…” mumbled Bobert angrily.
Selena laughed. “What were we gonna do?”
“Go to a concert.”
“Why couldn’t we go?”
“Because I don’t know where the place was.”
“Well, if you would have used a map, I’m sure you could have found it.”
“Maps are for pansies and other Copo-like creatures!” (A/N: QUOTABLE!!!)
Selena laughed again. “Look at us- already fighting like a married couple.”
Bobert blushed. “Yeah…up for karaoke?”
Selena smiled and took Bobert’s hand. “Sure.”
“You’ve forgiven me, then.”
“…You have to do my chores for a month.”
“Deal.” Bobert and Selena got up and they went to sign up for karaoke.
-------
When it was their turn, they went up on stage and, not looking at the audience, started the song.
“Alalala
Alalala, ooooooo
Alalala
Alalala, aaaaa,” sang Selena.
“If ever there was a day
When there wasn’t enough time
If I was too careless to say
You have been on my mind,” sang Bobert awkwardly, because he had a hard time singing. Selena smiled as she tried her best not to laugh.
“I know I have passed up the chance before
But I wanna tell you now
I love, I love you
I need, I need you,” sang the two.
“No better time to say,” sang Selena.
The two sang together again, “I love, I love you
I need, I need you…
This is a song for you…”
“If ever there was a time
When I pushed you aside
I’m so glad you stayed through it all
And that you’re in my life,” sang Selena.
“Oh there have been times when I didn’t know how
But I wanna tell you now
I love, I love you
I need, I need you,” sang both of them.
“No better time to say,” sang Bobert.
“I love, I love you
I need, I need you,” they both sang again.
“For the skies that you made blue,” sang Selena.
“For the smiles the light reflected through,” sang Bobert very awkwardly. “I can’t sing…” he thought to himself. The music played for a few moments, giving them both a break.
“If today was my very last day
And I lost my chance to say
In Heaven, oh I would hope that you
Know that you’ve been an angel
For all you’ve done for me…” sang Selena. Then she placed her hand gently on Bobert’s cheek and kissed him softly. A “whooo!” rose among the audience. Selena and Bobert both blushed.
“No better time to say…” whisper-sang Bobert.
“I love you…” sang Selena softly.
--------
When they went back home, they were both very quiet. Selena was still humming the song they were singing together. Bobert had this huge smile on his face, pleased that Selena was no longer angry with him. They sat down next to each other on the couch and put in a movie for the rest of the evening, and made hot chocolate. Bobert put his arm around Selena and she leaned into him.
Bobert then remembered something from Selena’s journal, from the first entry he read. “He reminds me so much of…who?” He shrugged it off. “If it were too important, she would’ve told me by now.”
Coincidentally, Selena was flipping through her diary and stumbled on the page Bobert had first read. “Hmm…Bobert reminded me so much of…him…not anymore, I guess…” Selena blushed and closed her diary. “It’s not important anymore. All in the past.”
