This isn't how I imagined this night
I didn't think I'd still be without you now
Still I'm convinced it can only be a joke
Because something like this could only be a hoax
It's New Years Eve & all I want is you
It doesn't matter how cheerful anyone else is
When that ball drops all I'll see is you
But it could only be in my mind
Some may see this as a special night
But for me it's just another painful reminder
Because so many have gone on like it doesn't matter
But I never could because it was you that night
It's New Years Eve & all I want is you
It doesn't matter how cheerful anyone else is
When that ball drops all I'll see is you
But it could only be in my mind
It's strange knowing why
I'm not ready to kiss this year goodbye
Because you were here
Until October of this year
It's New Years Eve & all I want is you
It doesn't matter how cheerful anyone else is
When that ball drops all I'll see is you
But it could only be in my mind
