Dreams With Pink Edges

-
Lets eat cake
(Says the girl
With lopsided,
Sort of hat)
Where the weather
You can
Taste and touch
Nature
And nothing comes
Out of the
Range of pastels.

-
(Numbers written
Upside down)

And books are
Used as shelves.
One of us is always late
The other right on time
For the only one
Who left early
Was here all along.

-
Here where
Drugs are taken
Daily, like sugar
In tea and
Smiles wrapped
In cotton candy at
Fairs.
-
From where
You shrink
And the clocks become
Hard to read
So time is lost
In place of
Solved mysteries.

-

The day where
You say I don't
Mind, a sip of
Laughter or two.
So I know,
We can sit
At the shores all
Day, skipping
Stones until they
Float away
Over a mint
Green sea.

-
And where we
Use umbrellas
In sunshine, and
Skip without a
Beat, skies made
Of more than vacancy.
Stars made
From marshmallows
Floating in
Chocolate rivers
And ice cubes
In ice tea.

-
Talk about
Those days when,
It rained
As far as
The eye could see,
Warm with springtime
And lilies up to
Our knees.
-
As
Our lungs shake with
Old jokes,
What a,
Wonderland
We have made
Out of a
Dream.
