The simple pleasure of the sky

A whirl of pink icing as day begins to rise

A sympathy without the sounds

The gentle glow of the snow on the winter ground

Spring will take landing real soon

for the sun to warm my world; don’t think I can wait till June

I lie on belly-down with sweet words in my head

They flee out of mind and race across my bed

than jump through the window even through the freezing cold

but These words are not the same they’re hot cocoa for the soul

if I could let go of it all

just for a moment or two wouldn’t be so long

if my latent wings finally made a spread

and I could escape from this lonely head

I’d make my way northeast and taste the pink icing sky

Than upon a soft cloud I would stay, I would lie

Humming along to the symphony without sounds

Looking down at the snow on the place way far down

And as the spring starts to creep to the world real soon

for now I wont mind packing a lunch for the moon

all these words flying off my weak pencil lead

all the thoughts that I’ve finally went on and said
