Rain

I surrendered to the sky

one sultry July.

As the clouds

roared in rage,

then released

from their

cage,

it rained.

Drops

of magic

from above.

Drops of anguish

Drops of love,

that pounded

down

on me,

Beating. Steadily.

As

Seconds

ticked away,

tucked

in the

realms

of

yesterday,

I stood there.

Oblivious

to the miracle that took place.

As the sky

poured

Life onto

each

little space.

And quicker and faster

A beautiful disaster...

tears plunged.

Each drop was

a whisper,

tranquilizing my mind.

Pulling

me away from reality

and into

a world where

all that rushed within me

was

rain.

Pitter

Patter

Pitter

Patter

Intoxicating my spirit,

Drums resonating

inside.

Harmony settled,

A blanket of peace,

it

protected me

when

the rain did

cease.

The earth

Poured magic

Calm

and strong

poured hope

I yearned for oh so long.
