We had been sitting in the dungeon for an hour or so and I finally convinced him that I was not who I looked like. He didn’t understand it at first, but when I explained the mirror and the angel, he finally got it. He told me that Selia was a woman that had been stealing and killing for the past ten years, almost like a mercenary. But she was worse. He also said that she must had found a way to reach my time and used some sort of spell to switch our bodies. The night she had come to switch places, I remember her saying something. And then it made sense. ‘You can be the criminal now, and I will enjoy this life of yours’

As we sat silently on the cold dungeon floor, I decided I should know the man’s name-since he had so /kindly/ given me mine. He didn’t respond at first, for whatever reason.

“What? Did you forget already?”

He simply glared at me. “Soren.”

Soren? What kind of name was that? I ignored it for the time being and just looked around the cell, looking at all the cracks and dents in the wall. Soren had told me that an insane man was kept here once, he thought he could break through the walls with is head. It didn’t work so well.

“You sure are fidgety.” He said suddenly.

I was? “What do you mean?” His finger pointed to my hands that were constantly ruffling the hem of my shirt. “Oh...” I hadn’t even realized I was doing it.

“That’s some strange clothing you’re wearing.” He started. “Where’d you get it?”

“Why do you care?” I replied crossly.

“I don’t. I was just curious.” He paused and smirked. “Unless you don’t want to tell me because you stole it…”

“I didn’t steal it!” I shouted angrily. He was beginning to get annoying.

He just shrugged and stood, then walked over to the bars that held us in this awful cage. A soldier of some sort came to our cell and glared at Soren then unfortunately turned to me. “Get up.”

Soren backed up and stood in front of me for whatever reason. “Where is she going?”

The guard reached for something in his pocket. “It is not your concern Rat.”

“Soren?” I looked up at him curiously. “What’s happening?”

He turned swiftly and grabbed my shoulders, then leaned down and whispered something in my ear. “Don’t tell them anything. I’ll come get you.” The guard saw him whispering and quickly opened the cell and knocked Soren over the head with some kind of mallet. He fell to the ground and I screamed his name. What was happening? I didn’t do anything…I didn’t…

The guard grabbed my arm painfully and I screamed again. “Let go! Let go of me! Soren!”

I could do nothing to stop this, I had to trust Soren. For whatever reason, I was going to trust him.

I finally gave up struggling, deciding that it would be best to stay conscious for the time being. The guard simply dragged me along the narrow halls of the dungeon as criminals of all sorts screamed at us and threw things at us. Some even reached out and tried to grab me, occasionally tearing my shirt and even causing me to bleed. Apparently, Selia wasn’t even liked by the other criminals.

After walking for what seemed like forever, the hall became wider and there was a huge door at the end. And when I say huge, I mean huge; it was an easy four feet taller than I was, and I wasn’t short. There were gold rings and chains all over it along with mosaic tiles creating a picture of a dragon and a single robed figure beneath it. I studied it intently, wondering why it stirred something in my blood.

My mind flashed and I suddenly saw a woman and a guard walking to this same door. The woman turned around and looked at me and gasped. It was the angel! It was Selia! She smirked and turned away as the doors opened slowly. The guard grabbed her arm and dragged her through the doors and into a large room with five people sitting at a podium of some sort. They wore red robes with gold laced into them; three men and two women, each looking to be only around their twenties. The door began to close and I ran towards it, but I couldn’t seem to run fast enough; at the last minute, there was a small crack in the door and a blinding light lashed through. I covered my eyes and heard something…

“Girl!” The guard shouted in my ear, he held that same mallet in his hand, threatening to hit me with it.

“What? Huh?” I shook my head and cleared the vision away. If it was a vision, I wasn’t sure.

“Get in there.” He pushed me roughly through the now open doors and I gasped as I saw the same podium along with five robed figures.

The guard left and I stared at the figures until the center one spoke with a cold, chilling voice. “Selia, your trial begins now.”

Things just kept getting weirder and weirder.

Reviews please so I can know if this one was a better chapter or not.
