Wind rushes through my hair and a

paper-white flower winces in cold frost, shrugs on death's coat and bows its head.

This year Hope hangs without a whimper, choked purple under strangle-rope. Winter rides on without stopping to look.

"Wherewithal Lies the Meaning?"

Sprightly dancing flames depicting rainbow petticoats and piercing violin melodies sink into quagmires of deaf ears and ancient eyes huddled about in brandy bottles and newspapers.

"Beauty"

Bring me a rose father, a red rose for the stiff, starched to white snow turning my fingers numb.
