The Apartment

Two people, a guy named Joe and a girl named Jen, worked together. Jen, who was 19 had a two bedroom apartment and currently she’s living by herself. Where as Joe was 20 and looking for a place to live on very low costs. One day at work Joe and Jen were talking about places they’d like to go someday.

“Well I would love to go to Paris someday, but I really need to save up the money.” Jen said to Joe while laughing.

“Yea well right now I cant even afford a place to live, I’m actually currently living with Julie.” Replied Joe

“Well, I have an apartment with an extra bedroom, everything is furnished, all you’d need is clothes and just other things you’d want to bring” Jen said

Joe thinks for a minute and then replies “Yeah… I think I may do that. What’s the address? Mind if I come check it out after we get off work?”

“No of course not… I wouldn’t mention it if I didn’t.” while laughing Jen writes down on a piece of paper her address and phone number in case he needed to call her.

After work Jen told Joe that he can stop by either tonight or tomorrow morning. It was up to him. He decided that he would stop by tonight. If he liked it then he would probably move in tomorrow morning.

That night around 11 pm. Jen heard a knock on the door. Knowing that Joe was coming around then so she just told him the doors open.

Joe walked in the door a bit hesitant “Jen? Uhh.. Hey! Wow this place looks amazing!” Joe says while looking around

Laughing “Oh thanks. Um… would you like a tour?”

“Sure”

Jen shows Joe her apartment, which isn’t all that big. Just has an average size kitchen, 2 small bedrooms, living room, bathroom and everything else an apartment has. Jen then takes him into the bedroom on the left between the bathroom and her bedroom.

“And this will be your bedroom, everything’s already here. All you need to do is fill it with your stuff. And you can decorate it any way you want. Just let me know if your gonna do anything to the walls first besides putting up posters or pictures.” Jen tells Joe

“Sure… so where’s your room?” Joe asks with a grin on his face

Looking at Joe with the same grin she replies “On the other side of the bathroom. Oh and by the way. Knock before you enter the bathroom, I tend to take shower at random times. I might just end up telling you when I do that but still just knock ok?”

“Ok… well since I basically have my stuff with me, can I just move in now or do you want me to wait till tomorrow?” Asks Joe

“Well yea of course you can but don’t you need to let Julie know your leaving?”

“Oh yea she knows, she’s happy with it. She likes that I can have a place of my own, well sort of” Joe laughs a little be nervously

“haha yea I can see what she means by that. Well actually I do have a few rules that I would really like you to follow by. There not strict or anything so don’t worry. They are….” Jen starts to explain all the rules to him about partying and decorating and animals (which of course she allows, since she has a few pets of her own)

“And finally just make yourself comfortable. I cook dinner every night and if I don’t feel like cooking or we don’t have anything to cook then I just either order out or go pick something up.”

Joe looks at Jen like he’s in shock

“Uhh… Joe? What’s wrong?” Jen asks nervously

“Nothing, im just surprised by your rules, I mean there awesome. All I have to do is let you know a few things im doing and then that’s it. Wow cool.” Joe replies with a smile

“Oh ok I thought it was something else. Well that’s good. Want me to help you bring up your stuff?” Jen asks

“Yea sure… its down in my car” Joe replies as he walks out of the apartment with Jen behind him.

A few minutes later…

“I thought you would have more stuff than this!” Jen says

“Yea well… id rather not explain why but I get by with what I have. Im hungry, what kind of food do you have around here?” Asked Joe

“Umm… lets go see shall we?” Jen says while walking towards the kitchen “What do you feel like having?” “Well… do you have any candy?” “Hahaha yup. What kind do you like?” “Resses Peanut Butter Cups. There my favorite!”

Jen walks to the fridge and asks “Do you like them frozen, refrigerated or neither?”

“Well I like them frozen but which ever way you have them ill take them!” Joe replies

Jen opens the freezer and pulls out a 60 piece bag of recess and throws them on the table.

“There ya go!” “Holy Shit! That’s a lot of candy” “haha yea. Well im a sugar freak so you’ll be seeing candy around here a lot” “wow cool ok that’s fine by me!” Joe replies while laughing

Jen yawns and looks at the clock “wow, its 1 in the morning. We’ve been talking for 2 hours! Sorry but I have to get up for work early. Hey wait… don’t you have to work tomorrow morning?” Jen asks Joe

“Oh uhh yea I do… Is there anyway you could wake me up before you leave? I tend to sleep in a lot.” Joe replies

“Of course.’ Jen says “and if you need anything just come knock on my door. Ill help ya out. Well good night. Hope you like your new home”

The next day

Jen walks into Joe’s room and see’s him sleeping in just boxers. She looks at his gorgeous sexy body lying on the bed, the covers all tangled up

“Aw poor thing must have had a rough night” Jen thinks

Jen walks quietly over to his bed and gently wakes him up

“Joe its time to get up, you have to be at work soon!” Jen says while lightly shaking him awake

“mmmphf” Replies joe

“If you wont wake up that way maybe this will wake you up” Jen then leans down and kisses him softly on the lips. Joe then wakes up in shock and pushes Jen off him. Jen falls to the floor with an embarrassed look on her face.

“S-sorry. I didn’t know how else to wake you up. I got to go to work. I’ll see you there I guess” Jen replies embarrassed while getting up and walking out of the room

“No wait… its fine you just startled me was all. I wasn’t expecting that. Ive never had anybody wake me that way. Its actually k-kinda nice.” Joe says a little embarresed himself.

“Right well I got to go. We’ll talk later ok? Bye” Jen says as she’s walking out of the apartment

Jen’s P.O.V

“I cant believe what I just did, I mean wow. I kissed Joe! Ive liked the guy since I started working with him. In a matter of 2 days that happens! I mean wow he moves in my apartment and he’s really nice and surprisingly not all how he acts like at work. At work he acts all smart-ass like and really cocky. Then when he’s at my apartment. I mean our apartment, he’s nice and friendly. Wow. Does he have a great body or what? I mean wow. I hope he walks around in just his boxers a lot. Uhhh did I just say that no no of course I didn’t. YES I DID! Ive got to be kidding myself not to think that. O well I geuss I better focus on my work before they realize im not paying attention”

End P.O.V

Joe’s P.O.V

“What happened? I remember Jen telling me its time to wake up and then she kissed me! Her kiss was amazing though. So soft and gentle. I wish I wouldn’t of pushed her off me but she startled me. Oh well what happned happened. But damn she’s fine! Gorgeous brunette hair, glowing hazel eyes, ooo and that body. Damn that body is amazing! I couldn’t help but notice what she was wearing last night. A black tight spaghettie strap tank top and a pair of shorts! Her body fit nicely into every inch of that piece of clothing! Mmm… and her nice big firm breasts… o god I shouldn’t be thinking this I have to be at work soon. Maybe a cold shower will help”

Joe grabs a towel from the closet and hops in the shower and gets ready for work

Around 3 pm that night both Joe and Jen were working together. It was awkward seeing as how they were both embarrassed and thinking about what happened this morning.

Through out work they only said what they needed to. Like when it came to customers they talked to each other about that. And other stuff, just never what happened this morning… that is until that night

At 10:30 pm that night Joe came home from work. He walked in the door knowing exactly what he was going to say to Jen. He was going to tell her that he thought that kiss this morning was amazing. Even if it only lasted for a split second. When he walked in the door he looked in the living room and the kitchen to find Jen. She wasn’t anywhere to be found. Then he heard the shower turn off and the door open to reveal a very sexy Jen standing there wet and with a towel wrapped around her! Joe’s jaw open in amazement at what he saw.

Jen walks out of the bathroom not realizing that Joe would be home. She thought that he would go out for awhile. She was hoping to avoid him and what happened this morning. Then she saw Joe staring at her and she realized why he was

“Oh hey Joe, how was work?” Jen asked calmly while sitting on the couch still in a towel

“Oh uhh it was ok. Sorry I didn’t realize you were in the shower ill leave” Joe replied while turning on his heel and walking towards his room

“Joe wait,” Jen said stopping him in his tracks “.. you don’t have to leave, don’t forget this is OUR apartment. Plus im in the living room. I have to go in my room to change…. Unless of course you’d rather me do it here” Jen said while starting to slowly slide off her towel

“woo wait.. no no.. stop!” Joe yelled.

“Ha Ha Ha… Im just messing with you Joe, geez im not some slut, or am I?? Haha im going to change in my room ill be out in a minute.” Jen said laughing and walking to her room

A few minutes later

“Ah… I feel better” Jen said coming out of her room wearing pj pants and a tshirt.

Joe turns around on the couch and looks at Jen and smiles.

“Hey can you come hear a minute we need to talk” Joe said while patting the seat next to him on the couch

“Yea sure” Jen replied while sitting down next to him “Look Joe.. about th…” But jen was cut off by joe’s lips pressed against hers. A few seconds later Joe pulls away and blushed. “That was for this morning. I didn’t mean to push you off you just startled me was all but your kiss this morning was amazing. It was so soft and gentle. I’ve been wanting to taste those lips again.”

Jen just sat there in shock. She didn’t know what to say or do. But she did the first thing that came to her mind. She pressed her lips against his and put her arms around his neck and pulled him in closer for a deep passionate kiss. After a few minutes of there tounges battling for dominace. They pulled apart to breath. “Wow” they both thought

At that moment Jen’s cell phone rang. She went to go pick it up and when she got there and answered she was surprised at who was on the other line. It was her ex boyfriend, Kyle.

“Kyle why are you calling me at this late hour?” jen asked into the phone

“ Well ive been thinking and I want to get back together with you. So will you be my girlfriend again?” kyle asked

“What? Kyle, No I wont go out with you again. After what you did to me how could I ever go back to you. Don’t ever call me again!” With that Jen hung up her phone and started to cry.

Joe looked at her with sad eyes. He didn’t know what happned or who kyle was. But he had to find out. He got up and put his arm around her shoulder “Shhh.. Jen it’ll be ok. What happened?”, “K-kyle, he was my boyfriend before I moved. I was planning on sharing the apartment with him but be in separate rooms. Well the day we were supposed to be moving I found a box that said pictures, and I didn’t know who’s they were so I opened the box and what I found in there is what made me brake up with him!” Jen said while crying.

“What were the pictures of?” Asked joe a little cautiously

“W-Well they were off girls that he’s had sex with but that’s not what I cared about I mean yea it bothered me but what bothered me was the one picture I did fine. It was of him and my best friend. There were tons of them together hugging and kissing and some of them were well you know. I looked at the dates of them and they were taken within a month. The last one I found was taking the day before I moved in here. I asked him what that was about and he finally told me that he’s been cheating on me with my friend!” Jen replied all out of breath

Joe just sat there with Jen in his arms. He didn’t know what to say. He didn’t know what to do all he could think of doing was saying sorry. So he did

“Im so sorry to hear that “

“Its not your fault but thanks for caring. Well im a little tired. Thanks for listening to me. But could you do me a favor?” Jen asked with a sad and nervous look on her face.

“Sure… anything you name it!” Joe replied

“Sleep with me tonight? I mean like in the same bed? I could really use somebody to comfort me.”

“Sure… its no problem” And with that Joe got up off the couch took Jen by her hand and lead her into the bedroom where he got under the covers with her (still in his clothes) and tucked her in. He kissed her on her cheek and with that he fell asleep soundly.

The next morning Jen awoke with somebodys arms wrapped around her. She rememberd very little last night. All she could remember was that kyle had called her and asked her to be his again and then she was crying. She turned slightly to see who the person was and she prayed it wasn’t kyle. When she looked it was Joe and she smiled and sighed with relief to herself.

Jen’s stirring in the bed made joe wake up to a beautiful girl smiling at him,

“Hey you!. Howd you sleep?” joe asked jen smiling

“Mmm… perfect, thanks to you. Sorry if this is a little weird or anything but since I don’t have my dog anymore I get kinda lonely. You know?” Jen replied

“Yea I know, and it wont be to weird or anything like that. I understand completely.” Joe replied

“Ok good, well im going to go take a shower and figure out what to do for the rest of the day. Do you have to work today?”

“No I don’t, want to do something together?”

“Yea sure, like what?”

“I don’t know, why don’t you go take a shower and we’ll decide afterwards ok?”

“Sounds great. Be back in a few!” With that Jen got up from under the covers, grabbed a towel from the closet, and walked into the bathroom.

Joe’s P.O.V

“As Jen got up out of the covers I just wanted to pull her back down and never let her go. This was to good to be true. This girl was so sweet and gentle. I feel like im falling for her. But I cant be. I mean we work together it would never work out. We’d get to caught up in our relationship at work that we wouldn’t be able to concentrate. One of us would have to quit. Or we could keep it a secret… yea a secret! That sounds great. Hmm… I wonder what she’ll want to do tonight? Maybe.. oh wait she’s coming out of the shower now ill just talk to her about it in a min.”

End. P.O.V

“Hey, enjoy your shower?” Joe asks while laughing

“Haha yea I did. Showers are very relaxing to me! So have you decided what you want to do today?”

“Umm… I was thinking about maybe staying here and watching some movies together, you know ordering some food in and being lazy, you know that’s what I do best” Joe replies with a wink and a sly smile

“Sure sounds good” Just then Jen realizes that she’s still in a towel and sitting close to Joe on her bed.

“Uhh… Joe, do you mind?” Jen asks Joe blushing

“Oh, Uh, yea sorry” Replies joe while getting up and leaving

A few minutes later Jen comes out wearing Jeans and Teal colored hoodie. She sits down on the couch wondering where Joe went. Just as she was finished thinking that Joe came out of his room wearing Jeans and a t-shirt. He plops down on the couch next to her and gives her a kiss on the cheek.

“So what would you like to watch?” Joe asks

“Umm… do you like horror movies?” Jen replied

Joe looks at Jen in shock “OF COURSE I DO!! There my favorite of all time!”

“Oh well in that case lets watch this…” Jen takes out the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie and puts it in the DVD player.

“Is this ok?” Jen asks Joe

“Uhh.. YES! This is my favorite horror film! Your turning out to be the best girl ever” Joe replies with a smile.

About half an hour into the movie Jen is getting scared. Joe notices this and tells her to come closer to him, he’ll protect her. Throughout the movie Joe is laughing at Jen everytime a scary part comes on. She flinches and cluthes his shirt even tighter. Joe doesn’t mind of course but he still thinks its funny. After the movie was over it was still pretty early. So since they didn’t order something in they decided to go out to eat. Jen drove her car since Joe’s wasn’t in the best condition at the time. Throughout the car ride there they were arguing (not really but you get what I mean) about the type of music to play in the car.

“Joe its my car I should be able to play whatever I want! And I want to play Simple Plan!” Jen replied a little frustrated with the whole ordeal.

“Ok this is stupid why are we fighting over what music to listen to. It sounds like were in a relationship or something” joe said not realizing what he was saying till after he said that. Joe, now blushing, thinks that he shouldn’t of said that unitl Jen said something that sparked his interest.

“Why don’t we?” Jen asked

“Why don’t we what?” Replied Joe acting like he didn’t know what she was talking about

“Be in a relationship. I mean I like you a lot and by the way you’ve been acting you seem like you like me. Well I mean do you? Do you even want a realationship right now?” Jen asks a with a worried tone in her voice

“Yes! Yes I do like you and Yes I would love to be in a relationship with you” Joe said smiling. He then leaned over in the car and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

After a few more minutes in the car they finally arrived at there destination. Since both of them loved video games, and go kart racing and put put golf, plus pepperoni pizza they decided to go to the recreation center. Which had all that. Jen pulled into the parking lot and turned off her car but didn’t step out before she did something. She looked at Joe leaned over and kiss him. They kissed for a few minutes before finally pulling apart. They smiled at each other and got out of the car. They walked up to the front hand in hand. When they got there they got all the stuff they needed to have fun. Jen was excellent at arcade games. She decided she wanted to challenge Joe to a racing game. Which happened to be her best.

“Deal, If I win you have to do as I say for a week, no matter what it is!” Jen said with a smirk on her face

“Fine and if I win you have to do the same for me. We got a deal?”

“Deal” and with that they both shook hands and got a lot of coins and picked out a racing game they both liked.

Within 15 minutes of them trying to beat each other they had a crowd around them. The girls were cheering for Jen to win and of course the guys were cheering for Joe to win. Finally after 30 mintues of racing Joe gave up.

“Fine you win, damn girl you really are good” Joe said while giving jen a hug

“Told you, so now that means you have to do what I say for a week, no matter what it is. Hmmm… this should be interesting” Jen replied with a sly smile

“Uh oh… what are you gonna make me do??”

“hahaha you’ll find out soon enough, Come on lets go play more video games”

After a few more hours of hanging out at the recreation center they both got tired and decided to head home.

When they arrived at there apartment they looked at the clock which read 12 am.

“Wow we’ve been out for awhile now, im kinda tired I think im going to go to bed” Jen said while yawning

“Yea me to, ill see you in the morning good night” Joe replied and then leaned in and gave her a gentle kiss on the lips, he was about to pull away when he felt Jen deepen the kiss and put her arms around this neck.

“Remember our deal?” Jen said with a smirk on her face and arms still around joes neck.

She began to kiss joe again and leading him towards her bedroom, she pushes him on the bed and straddles him she begins kissing his neck and starts pulling off his shirt reavealing his gorgeous body. She smiled at him and then started to unbuckle his belt from his jeans and she starts sliding them off him leaving him only in his boxers.

She stands up and takes off her shirt and then slowly slides off her pants. She stands there in just her bra and panties smiling at him. She wiggles her finger at him for him to come to her. He obeys and stands in front of her very closely. She leans in like she’s about to kiss him but moves to his ear and whispers “Sleep with me tonight” She looks up at him and smiles and then takes his hand and leads him to the bed she gets under the covers and lays down he joins her and wraps his arm around her. He then whispers in her hear “You shouldn’t tease me like that”. He smiled while saying that and purposely rubbed himself against her to feel what she’s done to him. She blushes and turns around and kisses him passionately on the lips and then falls asleep happily with her new boyfriend.

The next morning Jen was awaken by her phone ringing

“Hello?” She answered groggily

“Jen? You were supposed to be at work over an hour ago! Where are you?” replied Julie

“What?? What time is it?”

“Its 1 pm. You need to get her as soon as you can… bye”

Jen then quickly got out of bed and got dressed. Just as she was about to walk out the door she remembered joe was in her bed. “Crap” Jen thought

“Joe get up now!, im late for work at you have to be there in 2 hrs.” Jen said while yelling at him

“Urghh… no I don’t want to get up… to comfy.” Joe mumbled into the pillow.

“Well to bad. Get your lazy ass up now! I’ll see you at work” And with that Jen walked out of their apartment in a huff.

At work

“Hey Joe, I want to apologize for this morning I didn’t mean to yell at you.” Jen said with tears forming in her eyes.

“baby its ok. I understand. I know you were in a rush and I apologize for not getting up when you told me to. I promise I will next time. And wait did you call me a ‘lazy ass’ this morning?” Jen asked with a smirk on his face and a raised eyebrow

“Well… uhh you see..”

“O so you did… well your going to pay for that” While he was saying that he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in for a kiss when they were interrupted.

“Ahem… excuse me but aren’t you to supposed to be working? And when did you to start dating?” Julie asked

“Oh uhh… actually yesterday afternoon” Joe said a little worried.

“Awww that’s so cute. I knew you to would end up together. But now you know you cant be like that at work. It might interfear with your work. I would suggest hiding it until you get home. But congradulations” Julie replied all cheery! And then she hugged them both with a huge grin on her face

“That was close, I thought she’d be mad at us or something” Jen said.

“Nah, but like she said she knew we would end up together. And we did!” Joe replied and then gave her a quick kiss on her cheek!

After work they decided that they wanted to go grab a bite to eat. It was 10 at night and there weren’t many places open this late. Plus they were still in there work clothes. Since sonic was real close to work at home they decided to go there and just get ice cream.

When they got back from sonic the second Jen stepped in the door she took off her shirt turned around and jumped on Joe and started to kiss him madly! She whispers into his ear “I want you baby” and then she licks his ear playfully and nibbles on it causing him to let out a small moan.

While kissing Jen, Joe walks towards her bedroom and lays her down on the bed gently, while still kissing her. As he’s kissing her he reaches behind her back to her bra clasp and un clasps it realeasing her gorgeous breasts. He looks up for a moment and stares then begins to kissing her.

Jen runs her hands along his chest and then down to the bottom of his shirt lifting it up over his head. She breaks the kiss and moves to his neck. Kissing from his jaw line to his adman apple. Sucking on it lightly. Joe lets out a moan and a gasp and then brings her lips back to his. His hands move down to her belt buckle and start to undo her pants and slides them off easily. Leaving her in only her underwear. Jen does the same thing leaving him in only his boxers. They stare and each other breathing heavily. The both want it but do they really? Jen then had a worried look on her face.

“Wait… what am I doing? I cant do this. We’ve only been going out for like what a day? No this isn’t right. Urghh… crap. Well if he loves me he’ll understand.” Jen thought

“Ughh… Joe.. I.. I… “ Jen stammered

“Baby I understand. Im cool with it. Ill be ready when you are” He leaned down and kissed her on the lips and rolled off top of her.

He threw his shirt at her and told her to put it on. She looked at him questionably but decided she would. She got under the covers and looked at him.

“Hey joe, instead of me asking everynight… will you just sleep with me from now on? That is if you want to!” Jen said

Joe smiled and looked at her, he crawled in next to her and put an arm around her waist and kissed the back of her neck causing her to shiver.

They fell asleep happily in each others arm.

Joe woke up with a fright. He shot up quickly in bed and looked over at jen who was now wide awake and a little frightned.

Jen looked at Joe and put her arms around him “Baby whats wrong? Bad dream?” Jen asked

“Extremly… it was about you. Do you have to leave today? I really hope not. Please don’t leave me today” Joe pleaded and looked at her with a worried expression.

“I have to go to work. Why what’s wrong? What happened”

“You were in the hospital, I could see what was wrong with you. I just remember the doctors saying they cant tell me because im not family. But I kept trying to get past them. I then saw you in the room and you were hooked up to this wires and it was just so scary. Baby please don’t leave me.” Joe said while starting to cry now and holding Jen tightly in his arms.

“Ok, ok I wont. Ill call in sick today. I promise I wont leave you. I love you Joe!” Jen said not know what to except from Joe

“I love you too.” He then kissed her on the lips and smiled in the process!

“I can’t believe I told him I loved him, but I do. I honestly do!” Jen thought to herself while smiling.

Jen got up and called work and told them she wasn’t feeling good. They told her it was ok and that she hoped she felt better. After she got off the phone with them she walked into her bedroom again and saw Joe asleep. She smiled at him and decided that she would make breakfast for him. She walked out of the room and then realized she was wearing underwear and joes shirt. Should I really make a romantic breakfast wearing this? It’ll be sexy.” Jen thought to herself while smiling wickedly

She walked into the kitchen and decided to make something her mom always made on Sundays. Even though today is Saturday she thought it would be nice to make anyways.

She took out some country ham. Eggs. And biscuits. She decided to make a few extra things. Hash browns, bacon, and decided to top it all off with reeses peanut butter cups!

She began to get to work. First to turned on the oven to 350 degrees to make the biscuits. She placed them on a cookie sheet and set them aside. Eggs were the last thing she had to make so she put them back in the fridge to keep cool. Then she started on the bacon. She put 8 pieices in the pan and began to cook. Then she cooked the hashbrowns, the ham, and finally the eggs.

All of sudden there was a knock on the door. Jen turned off the stove and went to go answer the door. When she opened there. There was a man with a gun pointing it straight at Jen’s face. She stood there in fear.

“Don’t you dare scream or else you’ll be dead” The man with the gun (who was wearing a mask) said.

Jen just stood there frightend. Suprisngly at that moment Joe walked out of the room. He saw what was happening and ran in front of Jen to protect her.

“Boy don’t be stupid. Move out of the way I want her. Not you! Move or else I’ll shoot.” The man said angry

“Who are you? What do you want from her?” Joe asked frightend

“I want her back.” The man replied

“huh?” Jen thought

Just then Jen stepped in front of Joe. He tried to protest but she told him she’d be fine. He didn’t like it but he trusted her.

“You want me back? Who are you? Wait… k..” Just as Jen was about to say who it was there was a loud gun shot and Jen fell to the floor bleeding. The man left in a hurry and joe went to Jen’s side quickly.

He called 911 and soon the ambulance was there taking her to the hospital. He drove in the ambulance with her holding her hand crying. “Baby please be ok. Please. I love you.” Joe said to her unconscious body

At the hospital the explained to Joe what was going on.

“Where she was shot wasn’t anything to harmful. She was shot in her stomach and is in surgery now. She will be fine. For awhile she might not be capable of keeping things down to well. The impact was pretty hard since it was up close. She should be out of surgery in a few minutes. I’ll let you know when she’s out. Now I happen to know Jennifer since she happens to bring dogs around the hospital to cheer people up. And I know she doenst have the money to pay for this. And im guessing you don’t either? “ The doctor explained to Joe

“Ughh… no I don t. But ill do whatever it takes to get everything paid for. As long as she’s gonna be fine ill do anything.” Joe replied with a worried tone in his voice.

“Relax. Everythigns paid for. Everyone in the hospital heard about the call and everybody chipped in. Everythign will be fine.” Replied the doctor with a smile

“wow. Thank you so much. I want to repay you guys back though. I promise I will. “

“That’s up to you. But you don’t have to worry about it.”

Just then a nurse came in and whispered something to the doctor

“Joe, Jen just came out of surgery. She wont be awake for at least another hour or two. In about five mintues you can go in there and stay with her. Okay?”

“Sounds great” Joe said with excitement

Five Minutes later….

Joe walked into Jen’s hospital room and looked at her. Immediately he burst into tears. He practically walked to her side and got on his knees and crabbed her hand in his.

“Baby, im so sorry. I should of never let you get in front of me. I would rather it be me in this bed than you any day. Please be ok. Please.” Joe said while crying

Just then a police officer came in.

“Ahem, umm… excuse me sir but are you the witness? We need to ask a few questions” The officer said

“Yes sir, ill be right there.” Joe said not taking his gaze off of Jen. “Ill be right back baby” he leaned over and kissed her on the lips.

He walked out of the room into the hallway and started talking to the officer.

“Sir, are you her boyfriend, friend, family, what?” The officer asked

“Boyfriend” Joe replied

“Alright. Can you explain what happned?”

“Well all that I know is I woke up from a knock on the door and I didn’t know if Jen had gotten it or not so I went to go answer it and when I came out there was a guy who had a mask on pointing a gun at Jen. So out of instint I stepped in front of her and told him to leave and when he said I don’t want you I want her back. And then she stepped in front of me and I tried to stop her but she wouldn’t let me. And then she was about to say a name that started with a “K” when he shot her. Wait… k… KYLE! Sir, look for a Kyle McCormick. That was her ex-boyfriend. I remember, he called one night wanting to get back with her and she said no and for him to never call this number again.”

The officer wrote down the name and a few notes and than thanked Joe for his time. Joe walked back into the room just as Jen was opening her eyes.

“Hey baby how are you feeling?” Joe asked while caressing Jen’s hair

“W.. What happened? Where am I?” Jen asked in a low whisper

“baby you’ve been shot.. I think it was your ex, kyle” Joe sad with a sad voice

All of a sudden Jen burst into tears remembering everything that happened. Joe picked her up and hugged her and tried to comfort her.

“Shh.. baby itll be okay. The police are going to find him now. Everythign will work out fine. I love you’ jeo said while giving her a kiss on her forehead.

“I know its just that I cant believe he would od something like that to me! I mean why couldn’t he just talk to me instead of using a gun?” Jen said while crying

“I don’t know baby, I just don’t know”

Meanwhile while they were in the hospital the police were at kyle’s house questioning him.

“Where were you around 9 am this morning?” the officer asked

“I was home, asleep” kyle replied

“okay, mind if we take a look around?” the officer asked

“Sure, ive got nothing to hide” kyle replied with a smirk

The offiecer looke daround his house and found nothing that seemed familiar to the description of what he looked like or had.

“Okay, well thatll be all for now, That you for you time. We WILL be keeping in touch”

Later at the hospital

“You’ll be able to leave in a few days. Everything seems nhormal. You will have trouble eating for a couple days” The doctor said to Jen

“Ok, yea I figured that would happen. Its hard keeping my food down now”

“Alright well get some sleep” With that the doctor left

A few days later…

“Wow, its great to be home again. Joe? Have you not been here since the incident?” Jen asked looking up at joe

“Actually no. To be honest, when you told me to go home I just went outside and sat and thought for awhile, I hope your not mad at me?”

“No, not mad. I just wish you would have had some rest. What did you think about thought?”

“How much kyle is going to pay for this. He’s lucky I had you to hold me back.”

“How did I hold you back?”

“Knowing that you would be upset with me, I just couldn’t handle that”

“Your so sweet to me” Jen kissed Joe on the lips and smiled at him.

“Do you want to go for a walk?” Joe asked

“Yea that sounds great” They walked hand in hand out of the building. They walked past an alley way when something caught Jens eye in the dumpster.

“hey whats that over there?” Jen asked pointing to the dumpster

She then walked over and picked up what she saw. She then dropped it and screamed. Joe ran up next to her and saw what she was screaming about.

“oh my god” Joe said loudly

A few minutes later in the apartment…

“Okay, thanks officer. We appricat it.” Joe said into the phone

“there going to get him now, he wont bother us, don’t worry”

A few hours later their phone rang

“hello?” Joe said into the phone

“yes, sir. This is officer bradly. I just wante you to know that the fingerprints found on the gun were kyles. We also found the registration signed by him for the gun. He is in custody at the meoment and you and jen will ne to come to court to testigy.

“okay when will that be?”

“This Friday, 10 am. A lawyer will be there to help you.” The officer replied

“Alright, well I guess we’ll be there”

Once Joe hung up the phone, Jen asked what was going on. He sat next to her on the couch and explained everything.

Friday 10 am. The court room….

“Ma’am, will you please tell everyone in this court room what happened exactly?” the lawter defending them asked

“yes well what happened was…”

jen said everything from when she was making breakfast to the time she woke up in the hospital.

Around 1 pm The juriors were dismissed to go make a decision. Half an hour later they came to the conclusion that kyle was guilty. He would spend life in jail with no paroll unless of good behavior.

That night Jen and Joe celebrated. They went out to a gorgeous resteraunt and when they came back, Joe had a surprise for her. When they arrived at the front dorr of theird apartment, before Jen opended the door Joe spun her around and kissed her passionately on the lips. Jen moaned into the kiss knowing what she wanted. Joe broke the kiss and opeded the door for her. But he had put his hands over her eyes to “blindfold” her from seeing the surprised. In the apartment were daisys in all kinds of colors all over the place. He lifted his hands from her eyes and she gasped.

“OH MY GOD, ITS GORGEOUS” Jen said almost in tears

Joe then got down on one knee and turned jen aaround to face him. Jen was still in shock and dint even realize that joe was on one knee.

“Jen, I love you so much. Even though we’ve only been dating for a few weeks I know I want to be with you. And I hope you do to. Jen will you do me the honor of marrying me?” joe asked smiling brightly up at Jen

Jen stood there in shock. She wasn’t excpecting any of this. “Do I really want to spend the rest of my life with him?”

“Yes, I will marry you joe. I love you” Jen replied happily

Joe grabbed her and kissed her hungrily on the lips

“You don’t know how happy this makes me” Joe said “Here this if for you”

Joe took out ablack velvet box and opened it to reveal a very gorgeous diamond ring. He then took her hand and slipped it on her finger.

“Wow, Joe, its gorgeous. I love it” Jen said while giving him a kiss on the lips.

For some reason Jen yawned

“I don’t know why im tired”

“Wanna go to bed sweetie?” Joe asked

“yea, sound great”

They walked into their room which now had Joe’s clothes in it and changed and went to bed.
