In the Dark

-Damp an hollow, the
mystery lingers on
her frozen, blue fingers.
The eyes-
gone-
from where they
belong.
But in the dark
I see
bright green eyes
That once held a life
that drank in the vibrancy of
the world
and yearned for a way
to announce it.
That's why
her throat is slashed.
