Lack of voice
-- or conscience --
laying deep within
an indescribable pain
-- rarely spoken of --
starving the heart within
like the distended belly
of a starving child.

The heart is open
-- yet sore --
to the world.

Acidic feelings
rape the walls
-- dissolving --
welcoming the pain.
Slowly growing ever colder,
numb eyes stare forth
from dry sockets,
unable to shed
the tears of one's soul...
Torn.

An urge devours one
to scream
to hate
to die
to kill.
Salvage in a suicide
of lost tears...
Uncried.

The heart explodes
in a shower of disappointment...
A fool.

Falling,
shattered bones
ravaged flesh
streams of blood
All stain the rocks...
-- Shards --
At the base of
an ocean side cliff.

Tender sigh...

A final tear...

With the end
comes the greatest...
Relief.

Caught upon
a gentle breeze
-- my soul --
shall live again.

Bless my heart...

...End this famine.
