How can you tell me

You'll love me tomorrow

When before that day comes

The pain is sure to follow

When that day never arrives

Will you then break down and cry

When all is lost in the presence of today

Will you roll over and die

When the end, yet to come

Is brought before your face

Will you bow down and beg

For forgiveness, in the name of Grace

When the promises of a new day

Are shattered among the skies

Will you simply gaze along

With the sinners of the rye

How can you live life like so

As if tomorrow is promised today

Don't be surprised when all is lost

And all that's left blows away

I can't assure you that tomorrow never dies

But prepare for the heartbreak and sorrow

Bask in the glory now and soon,

Suffer in the absence of tomorrow
