I DARE YOU

I dare you to smile

I dare you to cry

I dare you to fail

I dare you to fly

I dare you to laugh

I dare you to dance

I dare you to fall

I dare you to prance

I dare you to frown

I dare you to yell

I dare you to lie

I dare you to tell

I dare you to feel

I dare you to care

I dare you to need

I dare you to dare

I dare you to love

I dare you to try

I dare you to push

I dare you to sigh

I dare you to want

I dare you to dream

I dare you to strive

I dare you to scream

I dare you to aim

I dare you to miss

I dare you to stumble

I dare you to kiss

I dare you to smile at me

Cry in my arms

Fail at what you hate

And fly into my heart.

I dare you to laugh with me

To dance me slowly in the dark

To fall when you can climb no more

And prance with all your heart

I dare you to frown in displeasure

To yell at me in distress

To lie beside me all night

And tell me if I’m a mess

I dare you to feel my touch

To care for me like no one else

To need me like I need you

To dare to steady your pulse

I dare you to love me

To try and forget me

To push me away

Then sigh when you finally see

I dare you to want me

To dream about what we have

To strive for nothing more

To scream when you’re mad

I dare you to aim high

To miss me when I leave

To stumble in confusion

But most of all, I dare you to kiss me
