sometimes I wonder

why I love you

why I give you the time of day

my friends...

they tell me you're not worth it

that one boy should never,

never have the power

to make me cry these tears

they tell me to get over you

to move on

and sometimes...

I think they're right

maybe you're not who I think you are

maybe you shouldn't be able to make me cry

these tears in part

but I'm having a hard time

telling that to my heart.
