Marci turned to the window, her eyes filling up with salty tears. She couldn't believe that she had told her boyfriend, Erik, the truth. And he wasn't exactly taking it the right way. Marci knew he wouldn't.
"What?! You must me kidding me Marci! There's no way!" He shouted, his fists clenched in anger. There was not only anger in his face, but a hurt look also. He marched up to Marci and grabbed her shoulder. Tugging her away from the window, she was now facing him. He leaned close to her, his breath hot in her face. Marci couldn't hold in her tears anymore. They streamed down her face as her eyes closed tightly.
"Marci, talk to me!" Erik shouted, shaking her by the shoulders. Her eyes blasted open as she moaned out a small "Oh Erik, I'm sorry..." He groaned loudly and threw her down on the bed beside them. He paced back and forth as Marci sobbed loudly, rocking back and forth, her arms hugging her knees close to her chest.
"I'm sorry, Erik, I'm sorry! Please don't hurt me..." She moaned, still rocking back and forth. She not dared to look at his face. Erik paced quicker, slamming his fists against the wall with pure hatred, making the walls shudder. Marci screamed as he pounded the wall, tears now coming faster and uncontrollably. Erik groaned again and walked up to the bed, Marci screaming as he approached.
"I can't believe you would do this to me! Stab me in the back! Do things with him when I'm away! And to think I kissed you, held you close when you were down! All for nothing! You're just some worthless, cheating, mother f..." He stopped in his sentance, grabbing Marci's leg as she tried to scramble off the bed. As a scream trailed through the house, he slapped her clear across the face. Marci knew that was the least painful thing he would do to her. She only knew it would get worse. Erik pulled her up from the ground by her throat, slamming her back on the bed.
"Who is this man you've been seeing?" He yelled, Marci squirmming beneath his force, small gasps excaping her mouth. "Tell me!" He shouted louder, pounding his fist beside her head, his grip on her throat tightning. Marci tried to speak, her voice quiet but still clear.
"M-m-m-mark!" She struggled, gasping for air. Erik groaned again, barring his teeth. He didn't let his tight grip off her throat.
"Mark who?" He shouted. Marci closed her eyes tight, trying to get enough air to speak again.
"M-m-m-mark P-p-p-eterson!" Immediately, Erik let go of her throat and paced back and forth again. Marci took several deep breaths as she fell down to the ground, crawling slowly towards the door. Erik saw her out of his eye, and he marched over to her, putting his foot on her back. She collasped onto her stomach, covering her head with her arms, screaming again.
"Stay here!" He yelled, and with a quick stomp of his foot on her back, he stormed over to his bookbag laying by the window. He unzipped it with fury, turning his head quickly to watch Marci. He pulled out his cellphone and dialed up an unknown number, placing it by his ear with a grim look on his face.
"Mark Peterson? You know him?" He mumbled into the phone, watching Marci out of the corner of his eye.
"Ya, thats him. Uh huh, uh huh. 275-2879? Alright thanks, bye." Erik dialed a new number into his phone, and Marci new who he was calling. Laying helplessly on her stomach, knowing Erik was watching her every move, Marci closed her eyes shut and started to cry again. She listened to Erik talk into the phone.
"Is this Mark Peterson?" He said in a fake cheerful voice. "Well hello Mark. I've got quite a lot of things to ask you." Quickly, Erik walked as far away from Marci as he could and placed his hand in front of his mouth so she couldn't hear what he was saying. After a few mumbles and meanless muttering that Marci could hear, he hung up and walked over to her dresser. He tugged open the second drawer and pulled out her pink cellphone. Erik shoved it into his back pocket, and marched back to Marci's helpless body sprawled across the floor.
"Time to pay this Mark guy a visit." He said with a evil grin on his face. Marci looked up at him with tears still staining her cheeks. She slowly got to her knees, looking at Erik with a pleading look in her eyes.
"Please, Erik, don't hurt him." She whispered, her voice quivering and unsteady. Her bottom lip trembled as she spoke. "You just don't understand..." But before she could say she was truely sorry, Erik was out of the room, jumping into his car and starting the engine. Marci ran to the window, holding her hands against the cold glass. She screamed helplessly as he sped off on the icy roads, the fog quickly swallowing him and his car up. Marci slid down to her knees, screaming and crying, knowing Mark wouldn't still be alive after Erik was done with him.
