On the Bottom

I enjoy being on the bottom

Theres no real reason why,

I enjoy being on the bottom

Cause the only place to go is up towards the sky.

People see me on the street

They stop and stare sometimes,

I just look down at my feet

To avoid their critical eyes.

I put on my fake smile

And walk around the town

I walk around for several miles

Trying to hide my frown.

I enjoy being on the bottom

It keeps me in perspective,

I enjoy being on the bottom

That way I won’t feel rejected.
