Growing Up

NOT ENOUGH!
cried she as flittered from
boy to boy, like they were
enticing flowers, and she a
delicate hummingbird.
she sucked them dry.

TOO MUCH!
cried she on her wedding day,
her belly bulging with the
caged bird she kept warm.
she decorated herself with
liquid diamonds.
