Just because you died doesn't mean you really lived.

Just because I don't think about it doesn't mean I'll forget.

Just because I said I was lying doesn't mean it wasn't true.

Just because I hate you doesn't mean I don't love you anymore.

And just because we didn't get our happy ending doesn't mean we can't make do.

(notes: it started with just the first line, and attempted to become a Death Note fic, but the poem took over instead. I'm not very happy with it as a whole, but as individual bits, I think I am. Concrit would be appreciated.)
