"Obstruction"

There's an obstruction

in my heart, my mind, my voice.

Like a rusted-shut gate leading to a fanciful wonderland,

or a boulder on an otherwise beautiful nature trail.

I need help to free them.

But no one will help me.

You tear my fragile heart.

My mind is locked, and you won't give me the key.

My voice is never heard.

I will never know true freedom.

But no one cares.

They are the obstructions.

Too set in their ways to notice me.
