Yes, I am calling to you, human.

--

--

every skull is white

under the gore of our

excuses

but if we don’t stop this fight

that has been raging for centuries

so useless

then we’ll always be drowning

in the blood of our enemies

just as red as our own

pumped by hearts just as true

cut off by reasons

just as right

just as wrong

just as human

--

I don’t care what color your skin is

or if you’re a man or a woman

or what god you worship

or what science has captured your soul

I don’t care if you’re divorced

or want to marry your same sexed lover

I don’t care if you’re young, or old

just that you’re open

just, don’t make me watch you go

‘cause we need heroes these days

so, please, stand with me

in this place that might

one day

be equality

stand beside me when everyone else

is too frightened

should they be hit

by the first thrown stone

that they cast at us themselves
