One night can change your life
Feeling the sun's rays start to heat up her back the young woman grumbled. Borrowing her face in the pillow next to her she took a deep breath. A groan and a whiff of the road and nature told her she wasn’t alone. Her eyes flew open and she sat up fast. Staring at the body lying next to her she paled. Wondering how she landed in bed with him and what had happened she glanced around the room.
Finding clothes all over the place she paled once again. A low groan from him had her looking over at him. As she stared it came back to her in flashes. ‘The drink, flirting, kissing. Heading to the room, him following. Kisses, licks, a gasp, a break, a cry. Fast, slow, fast, slow, then fast again. Another kiss then curling up together to sleep.’
Biting her lip to keep from crying out she slid off the bed. Quietly she slipped out of the room after gathering her clothes. Pulling the shirt she had grabbed around her body she went to the room two doors down. Knocking she glanced up when the door opened. She tried to smile but couldn’t quite make it. One look and she was being pulled into the room by her brother. Grabbing a robe he slipped it around her shoulders then hugged her.
Hugging him back she murmured “sorry” into his chest. He just soothed her. Finally pulling back the older sibling looked her over. After inspecting his sister, the brother sent her to get cleaned up. While she did, he went to speak with the one night stand man.
When he got back the sister was dressed in jeans and a shirt of his She was lying on the bed writing only to look up at his entrance. Giving her a grin around his swollen eye the brother went to take a shower.
When he came out the room was cleaned up and everything packed. Not saying anything the siblings left the room, paid, then drove from the city. She fell into a restless sleep as her brother drove.
She dreamed of the first meeting with him. Dreamt of the first time he flirted with her. When she finally responded and that night. Gasping she woke as her brother pulled into a gas station.
He looked at her but didn’t say anything. Instead he got the gas, some food, and they were on their way again.
They came back to the city a year later. This time though a baby boy was with them. She had given birth in Atlanta and once strong enough started to make plans. Her brother finally agreed and they drove back.
While she stayed in the room with her son, her brother went out. He found his nephew’s father getting drunk with some friends. Pulling him away the brother told him about his son.
When the door opened she glanced up, the baby at her breast. That was the sight the father came into and the one that would stay with him for the rest of his life.
