………….She’s moving quickly,

Faster and faster,

Trying, trying so hard,

to flood out the mean things they say.

The music in the background,

A band playing softly,

She’s out of tempo,

Paying no regard to the song.

Breathing harder,

Sweat dripping down her back,

Trying to dance away,

Away, so far away,

From the insults they pay.

If only they could see her now,

Amazing, full of grace,

And so passionate, so very passionate.

Maybe the would see

That in her dancing she succeeds.

Her feet are now a blur,

Her arms whipping around,

But for a moment,

Just a single moment,

Time stands still,

A single glistening tear rolls down her glowing cheek,

She’s back at it,

Dancing furiously,

Trying to erase the cruelty,

The music ends,

She falls to the floor.

You can’t do anything right,

You are so uncoordinated,

So ditzy,

Arrogant,

Stuck-Up.

No matter how hard she tries,

The cruel words echo in her head,

She lies on the dance studio floor,

Tears streaming silently down her beautiful face.

She screams out in agony,

But nobody,

Not a single soul

Hears her.

She wipes her tear stained face,

And turns on the soft music once again.

Maybe this time the music will go on forever,

And maybe she can, get away from all the pain.

The music plays,

She gets up and dances,

Maybe this time,

Maybe she can get away……..
