Letting go of the past is hard, we all know that. Unless, of course, you're still blinded by your impression of the past.

Living like a wanderer

Living like a rogue

Leaving behind a memory

Of someone I think I used to know

I never told you what I meant to

I wish I did, though

But I can't because you're no longer

That someone I think I used to know

If I had told you back then, I wonder

Before you start along that endless road

Would you ever have changed

From that someone I think I used to know?

Yet as I wonder, your eyes tell me

Something I actually knew long ago

They tell me that you were never

That someone I think I used to know

And realizing all of this,

I decide to let you go

To let go of the memory

Of someone I thought I used to know.
