Triptychs

3 December 2008
Flour Bluff, Texas

—1—

Cerulean days,—
Warm winter that is summer
Along wide gulf seas.

Even when it should rain
Broad swaths of blue fill clear sky,—
So white whales can swim.

Sunlit happiness
From fusion’s fires' searing glow,—
Yellow’s effusion.

—2—

She called to repent,
But I’d forgot what she did,—
Our animal youth.

It was all madness
Between sexual machines
Loving & Crying.

Why did it take death
To open eyelids closed firm
Despite love potent ?
