Yes, this song does have a point: the idea was to capture the feeling you get when you wake up on the morning of a big holiday - say, winter solstice or Beltane or something - and you can just -feel- that it's a special day. The air just tastes different. I tried to break up the lines to match the tune, I hope it still reads well! Enjoy!

)O(

Whispers softly in the icy

Corners of the land,

“Come now.

Heed now.

Something is at hand.”

Murmurs in the brooks and barrows,

Breaks a young girl’s sleep,

Smell the wind and taste the waters,

Secrets meant to keep!

-----

CHORUS:

Know now, know now!

Don’t hide away

Know now, know now

Today’s holiday!!

-----

Wake up early in the darkness

Following the sound.

Heartbeat.

Drumbeat.

Throbbing in the ground.

Singing now an ancient tune that

Gilds the morning air,

Feel the sky and see the patterns,

Stories meant to share!

-----

CHORUS

------

Forest glimmers and a pool leads

To another world.

New moon.

Full moon.

Colors, shapes, all swirled.

Pace a circle leaving footprints

Delicate and strong

Feel the fire in your bones and

Dance the whole night long!

-----

CHORUS

)O(
