effortless

writing this when you're in a bad mood

trying out the way the different words

run together across the page

and maybe creating images that you never realized were there

until they were pointed out to you

and maybe this isn't the best work of all

but it's still something

you felt you had to write,

had to draw it out of you

because it's not so effortless

to explain away the reason for writing
