“A Cynic’s Paradise”
The mind is lost from wisdom gained.
Wealth will grow as morals wain.
A man starves to death on the street;
A rich man dies from too much meat.
Innocence so quickly lost
Ignorance so blindly sought.
Scholars study to build a better bomb
Politicians claim war leads to peace.
And Hell is running out of space.
Can we be blamed if we don’t believe?
Some sell drugs, Some sell souls,
Some buy, some beg,
And the world teeters on the ledge.
Lets lay this hourglass on its side
The sand will balance out in time.
