“Between the Shore and Sea”
Two straight lines, run for eternity
side by side, but they never meet.
We run through days, And float through night,
never seeing the sun set or rise.
Child’s play, laugh and runaway
it’s the same old game but the rules change.
You and I enjoy dancing blind,
falling in love with fragile fate.
What will we find in places between
the stars and sky, the shore and sea?
Each time we waltz I risk another fall.
I’ll fly this time, Or lose it all.
Reality tears, at my world of woven dreams,
leaving me with rags of treachery.
Love is a lie, I’d like to believe,
forever unfound in the places between.
