Episode 27: Ray of Light

“Everyone has their own destiny and I have mine.” Ray said as he pointed the Packer ready to fire.

“Your destiny is to die.” Legolas replied with a psychotic look on his face.

“Wrong my destiny is to defeat you!” Ray yelled.

“Quit stalling and fight!” Legolas shouted.

Ray aimed the Packer and fired the first shot. Legolas waited for the bullet to come close to him and then shattered the bullet with his hand. Pieces of the bullet flew across his face as he gave an evil grin. Legolas used his psychic powers and unleashed a wave of energy upon Ray. Ray dove out of the way and fired his next shot. Legolas destroyed the bullet with ease. Ray decided to draw him self in closer and Legolas unleashed more waves of energy. Ray dodged them and began to fire with his laser. The laser beams proved more useful as they were able to pierce through his waves of energy little by little. One of the laser beams tore pass his face. Legolas felt the side of his face with his hand.

“My blood.” Legolas said as he looked at his hand covered in blood; then he gave a malevolent laugh.

Ray jumped in the air and avoided the last energy wave and punched Legolas in the face. Legolas could feel the force of the punch knock his head from side to side. Legolas’s body staggered back. Legolas pulled his head back from the side and readjusted it. Ray could hear a popping noise as he cracked his neck.

“My body is a little stiff little brother. Perhaps you can whip my body back into shape.” Legolas said.

“Damn.” Ray said to himself.

He could have sworn that punch would have knocked him flat. Then again this was Legolas and he wasn’t going to go down easy.

“I thought you could kill me. Why was I worried? Now I know you’re vulnerable.” Legolas said with a sneer.

Legolas walked up to Ray and picked him up by the throat. Then he punched Ray in the ribs. Ray gasped as he felt his bones about to break. Legolas dropped Ray to the floor and he held on to his side in pain. Ray got back on his feet but Legolas struck him in the stomach. Ray gasped spit came flying out of his mouth. Ray felt himself getting weaker by the minute. Was this the end he thought? Akaro made her way to the control room. She finally made it and saw Ray lying on the ground with Legolas hovering above him.

“Ray!” Akaro shouted.

“Welcome Akaro. You can watch as I spill his guts.” Legolas said.

“You monster.” Akaro replied.

“Come now you’re an assassin. You should be enjoying this.” Legolas told her.

“Fight Ray! You must fight!” Akaro shouted.

Ray rose back up to his feet. She is right he thought. Ray did a couple of round house kicks but they weren’t affective. Legolas grabbed Ray by the leg and punched him in the crotch. Ray screamed as his body flew up against a wall. The wall began to crack from the force of Ray’s impact.

“Your back should have been broken by that blow.” Legolas said with a smile.

“Sorry but I hate to disappoint you.’ Ray replied as he used up the last of the Heaven’s talisman.

“What!” Legolas shouted as he watched the beam of light shoot out of the Packer.

The beam of light tore through the armor on Legolas’s left shoulder. Legolas gasped as he looked down at the hole in the armor.

“Damn you!” Legolas shouted.

Legolas started to fire chi bullets at Ray. Ray dove past the bullets as fast as he could. One of the bullets tore through Ray’s side and he fell to the ground. Blood began to ooze through his jacket and stain the floor.

“Not only did you damage me but you damaged my ego.” Legolas said.

“You don’t care for any one only yourself!” Ray shouted.

“You read me like a book. Besides I am your hatred manifested in this body.” Legolas said.

“I know what you are.” Ray replied as he remembered Legolas coming to life and taking out the doctor.

“Ha I forgot that you are a little momma’s boy!” Legolas said.

Ray began to have flashbacks of his mother. He remembered how his father said she died of a disease which turned out to be a lie. Ray now knows why his father told him that. He probably couldn’t have handled the truth.

“I won’t let you talk about my mother!” Ray shouted as he stood back up.

“Hahaha that’s good I like the fire in your eyes!” Legolas said as he flinched his teeth. .

Ray screamed as he fired the Packer. When Ray dove to the side he could feel his ribs ache. Legolas sent out another shockwave which blew Ray into the air. Then Legolas’s eyes turned bright blue and held Ray in the air using his psychic powers.

“Stop this Legolas!” Akaro shouted as tears came down her face.

“I’m going to spill his blood all of it!” Legolas shouted.

Ray could feel his bones about to break. First Legolas snapped his legs and then his back. Ray gasped as spit flew out of his mouth. Ray had to do something quick if he wanted to live. Ray slowly raised the Packer and he fired a laser beam that hit Legolas in the face. The blast let Ray free of Legolas’s psychic control. Ray hit the floor hard and could barely move his legs. He reached for some of the ointment that he had left and placed some on his legs.

“That won’t heal you in time when I’m done with you.” Legolas said as he rose back up.

Legolas had a huge black hole on the right side of his face.

“Legolas you should stop right there.” Came a voice.

Ray looked over and saw Dr. Valcuin standing before them.

“Doctor what are you doing here?” Ray asked.

“I came back for your mother’s brain so I can let her rest in peace.” Dr. Valcuin said.

“It’s her brain that helps run this place just like when you had her.” Legolas replied.

“It was his father’s idea and a good idea at the time. I just didn’t know a psycho like you would find out about it.” Dr. Valcuin said.

“To shut down my operations you have to destroy your mommy’s precious brain. Are you willing to do that Ray?” Legolas asked with a psychotic look in his eye.

“You bastard.” Ray said as he slowly began to move.

Legolas walked over to the control panel. Dr. Valcuin and the others were wondering what he was doing.

“What are you doing Legolas?” Dr. Valcuin asked.

“I’m arming the self detonation. A satellite will destroy this place unless you remove the brain from the main control room.” Legolas said with a snicker.

“You son of a bitch!” Ray shouted as he stood up.

“I’ll give you five minutes to see if you can stop it.” Legolas said as he sat down in his throne.

“You’re not escaping?” Dr. Valcuin asked.

“It’s impossible once the site is set on this target.” Legolas said as he crossed his legs.

The alarm soon went off on the base. Akaro could see the red lights flashing and an emergency warning came on. Akaro ran towards the control panel.

“We have to do some thing to disarm it!” Akaro shouted.

“Ray look for the main control console while we attempt a password shutdown!” Dr. Valcuin yelled.

Ray got up and walked over to Legolas. Legolas just gave him an evil grin. Ray grabbed Legolas by the neck.

“What can I do for you little brother?” Legolas asked.

“Where is the main control console?” Ray asked furious.

Legolas gave a snicker and pointed towards the chamber that led to Legolas’s main office.

“Go through that chamber little brother and take a right and climb down a hole. Keep going straight and you’ll find it.” Legolas said with a smile.

Ray snarled as he ran towards the chamber. He made his way down the hole that led to main control console. Dr. Valcuin and Akaro worked desperately to try and shut the satellite down from the control panel. The satellite armed it’s self and prepared to line up with its target. Ray found the brain that was the source for the main control console that helped run Legolas’s base. Ray fell to his knees as he saw his mother’s brain.

“Is that you mother?” Ray asked.

The brain was covered in a metal plate that helped protect it. Wires were also plugged into the brain. Tears came down his face as his raised the Packer. Ray fired and blasted the metal platting. All Ray had to do now was remove the brain from the console. He didn’t know if he could do it or not. Ray had three minutes left to decide.

“What’s taking Ray so long?” Dr. Valcuin asked.

“He better hurry up and decide. I’m getting pissed trying to figure this thing out.” Akaro said as she looked at the controls.

“Mother I’m sorry.” Ray said as he pulled the brain out from the sockets and wires.

The warning emergency shut down and the alarms stopped flashing. Dr. Valcuin was relieved. Legolas made his way over to the control panel where Valcuin and Akaro were. Legolas turned his eyes bright blue and used his psychic powers to blast a hole through the doctor’s back. Ray climbed up the hole and made his way through the chamber doors.

He saw Valcuin lying on the floor bleeding. Ray couldn’t believe his eyes and ran over to the doctor.

“Doctor!” Ray shouted as he kneeled beside him.

“Ray, I didn’t mean for your father to die. Your mother knew the risks of my experiments. Please forgive me Ray.” Dr. Valcuin said as he closed his eyes.

“Ha his death was more pitiful than your father’s.” Legolas said.

“I’ll kill you! You son of a bitch!” Ray yelled as grabbed the Shatter shot.

Ray fired the Shatter shot and the missiles split into three and aimed for Legolas. Legolas smiled as he stretched out his hands to stop the incoming missiles.

“You can’t stop me!” Legolas yelled as he formed a shield.

The missiles tore through the shield. Legolas couldn’t believe what was happening. The shield shattered and the three missiles damaged his suit. Legolas gasped as he staggered back from the attack.

“Damn you really pissed me off now.” Legolas said as he looked at his damaged armor.

Ray ran towards Legolas and jumped in the air. Ray blasted the Packer into his chest which sent Legolas crashing to his throne chair. Legolas started to cough up blood. Legolas walked towards Ray. Ray decided to use the last talisman he had left to finish him off.

“This is my last talisman it could kill me for all I know.” Ray said as he looked at the talisman in his hand.

“Ray don’t do it!” Akaro shouted.

“I have to destroy him for good.” Ray said as he armed the Packer.

“Please I love you!” Akaro yelled.

Ray couldn’t believe the words that came out of her mouth. He didn’t have time to focus on her as Legolas was preparing for an attack of his own.

Legolas began to gather all of his chi and rushed towards Ray. Ray screamed as he armed the talisman. The energy surrounded his entire body. Legolas raised his hand and through a punch which collided with the beam of light. Legolas screamed as the beam of light took over his body. Legolas soon found him self in a mysterious void along side Ray.

“Hey what’s going on here?” Legolas asked.

“I used the Talisman of Sealing.” Ray told him.

“What do you mean? What did you do?” Legolas asked.

“I sealed you inside of me. You can no longer hurt any one.” Ray said.

“NO that’s not fair!” Legolas shouted as he went to punch Ray but couldn’t because of the realm he was in.

“If I die you’ll die along with me.” Ray said.

“NO! Let me out!” Legolas shouted as he searched frantically for a way to get out.

Ray’s body disappeared from the realm. Akaro hovered over Ray’s body as she cried. She didn’t know if Ray was dead or not.

“Please don’t leave me I don’t have any one left.” Akaro said.

Ray’s vision returned to him and he saw Akaro sitting on top of him.

“Akaro.” Ray said.

“You’re alive!” Akaro shouted.

“I don’t know for how long though. This forbidden talisman has really took its toll on me.” Ray said.

Then he began to feel a surge of energy flow through his body. Ray screamed as the talisman started to drain his life energy.

“Ray what’s happening!” Akaro shouted as she stood up.

“The talisman is draining my life force!” Ray shouted as he could feel the immense pain.

Legolas could feel the pain that Ray was feeling now that he was trapped inside of him. He could feel him self getting weaker and weaker.

“Is this what it’s like to feel pain?” Legolas asked.

Ray passed out from exhaustion on the floor. Akaro touched his body and she could feel Ray starting to get cold.

“Please don’t leave me Ray.” Akaro said as tears came down her face.

Akaro listened to his heartbeat and his pulse was fading with every beat.

“You can’t go!” Akaro shouted.

Ray found him self with a void as well. This void was filled with watery like substances. He wondered where he was.

“Where am I?” he asked himself.

“Ray.” Came a dark voice.

“Who’s there?” he asked as he looked around.

“Do you wish to return?” the deep voice asked him.

“Return where?” Ray asked.

“The place where you truly belong.” The voice said to him.

“You mean the place before this journey began?” Ray asked.

“Yes.” The voice told him.

“Can I choose a point and time to return to though?” Ray asked.

“I don’t see why not.” The voice said.

“I would like to return to the time when my mother was alive. I would like to see her again.” Ray replied.

“Very well.” The voice said.

Ray found him self back home in his regular time period. There were no assassins trying to kill him or murderous brigades hunting him down. It was like it never happened at all. Ray had no memories of that time period. The world wasn’t in chaos any more. He was back home.

“Ray its time to go to school.” His mother said as she handed him his bag.

“Ok.” Ray said.

Ray was now just entering high school. Ray saw his father sitting at the table reading a news paper. He saw an article about a whacked scientist named Dr. Valcuin being committed to a psychiatric ward. Ray just shrugged and headed out the door. Ray was excited today. There was a new transfer student coming and he was hoping that it was going to be a girl. Ray sat in the auditorium at school along with his friend Chobi.

“I heard that transfer student is a girl.” Chobi said.

“Really?” Ray asked excitedly.

“Hey guys mind if I sit next you?” Naomi asked.

“Sure go ahead.” Ray said.

“All right class.” The principle said as he stood in front of the podium. “We have a new transfer student that I would like you all to welcome.”

The transfer student came out to the stage. She had blonde hair and was really beautiful. She bowed before her classmates.

“Hi my name is Akaro. Akaro Kenrai.” Akaro said with a smile.
