Identity

You don’t see me in the crowd

Vanished.

You see many faces, voices so loud

Silence.

You look, you see, you’re still losing me

Banished.

Surging, burning, continually churning

Violence.

It doesn’t matter anymore

You find me, you hurt me, and I am no more

Gone.

Reasons for violence, why?

None...none left

Hurting and the pain, glad when we die

We lost our identity long ago

We try to save it, pretend we’re foes

It doesn’t matter anymore

We all look the same in the crowd.
