heavy air of her frozen breath.

and something in me snapped

the pitch of her voice wavers

and her curls fall over her eyes in

relaxed beauty while his mouth

rests away from her

taunting desire.

you should be more frightening

and her eyelids fall shut

as the knife he grasps sinks underneath

the shadows of her shoulder blade.
