Crash Dummies

Why do you buy into the authoritarian ways?

How do you get so obsolete?

I am,

Beyond this.

I hate,

Therefore I am!

The best thing about being a madman,

You get more complex each time.

Follow the path,

Every single episode,

You can see how I got here.

You can get somewhere too!

Thought I was going on a romantic cruise,

I found myself in a spaceship,

Surrounded by crash dummies.

I didn’t want to be a part of that test!

It’s a wonder that I woke up!

We could land this thing!

Open your eyes,

Feel the plastic mold into flesh.

We need to do something,

We’re headed straight for the sun!

A goal so high and bright…

That we’ll all go blind!

You know,

Rather than having faith,

And strapping ourselves in…

Maybe the test,

Is to see if we can think for ourselves.

If this one star is the only thing,

That can keep us warm,

Let’s at least think about this…

How much do you like barbeque?

Maybe we could all start taking the heat,

If only we took the time to understand it.

This, and all other possible destinations…

Dummies will eventually die from cold, hard, natural selection.
