I carry memories of friends past.
From time to time I shed a tear
Or let out a melancholy laugh
And feel their spirits still are near.

I carry memories of times long gone.
From time to time my heart aches
And my soul sings a soft, sad song
And the moments still are here.

I carry memories of love faded.
From time to time I hear his voice
And once again am I elated
And the love still is real.

I carry memories full of life.
From time to time I pursue them
Some of happiness, some of strife
And all of them still are dear.
