Just so you know, this was written during a boring day in my grade 10 English class. Thanks to Citronella for the BETA. 'Tis much appreciated.

The Dark of the Sun

Out of sight,

Out of mind;

What I am searching for,

I will not find.

Late at night,

In the light of the Moon,

If we never meet again,

It shall be too soon.

Fun, sun, and rain,

I hate you on cheerful days;

And while all you cause is pain,

Still, for you I crave.

Love is lost,

Love will not be found;

Though all the murky days,

My love for you still abounds.

Late nights and sunsets,

Skating in the park;

Why is it that since you’ve left,

My life seems to be so dark?

From father to daughter,

Or mother and son;

Like beggars and sloths,

We work once all is already done.

Take away my sunshine,

It only causes pain.

Through time, and time again,

Still, for your love I will always crave.
