The writing is simple, easy to understand, and straight to the point. If you’re looking for long, in depth writing, you won’t find it here. This is strictly a “horror show” (hence the term “episodes” instead of “chapters”). With that said, please read and enjoy!

EPISODE 1: BIRTHDAY

--

A red convertible pulls up in front of a rather old-looking, two-floored home. Vines have attracted themselves all over this brick house, resting quietly in a seemingly normal suburban neighborhood. The windows are boarded up, and the steps are cracking. Two young adults exit the convertible, a male and a female.

The female is much younger than the male, appearing to be at least eighteen years of age. She’s Caucasian, and her medium length hair is now a “regular” shade of brown. Her face is youthful, filled with innocent, baby-like features.

The male, on the other hand, is a bit older than the female, appearing to be about twenty-two years of age. He’s Caucasian as well, with ocean blue eyes. His silky black hair touches his shoulders.

The brunette cheerfully walks to the male, wrapping her arms around him. The male smiles and returns the favor by resting his arm around the girl’s shoulders.

“So… Is this the place?” He asks.

The girl giggles. “Well, at least it’s cheap.” She says.

--

The girl and the boy enter the house. The house looks much worse inside than it did on the outside. The floor is covered in dust, and the walls have dirt marks all over them. Since the windows are boarded up, the house is a bit dark inside. The girl stays by the door, while the male looks around the room. He turns around to look at the girl, and chuckles.

“Coming in?” He jokes.

The girl laughs at her own stupidity. “Sorry. I just don’t like the dark.” She says.

The male walks to the younger girl and begins rubbing her shoulders, comforting her.

“Remy, what happened to you sucked…sucked hard…but we have to put it past us. That evil guy is long gone; you don’t have to worry about him anymore. Stop worrying about it.” The male says to the girl, Remy, in a calm, comforting voice.

Remy nods. “Thanks Terry, but it’s going to take more than a few words to make me feel better.” She jokes.

“I know you can never forget about what happened to you, but at least try. That’s all I ask.” Terry says.

Remy sighs. She then looks up at Terry and smiles. She nods.

“You’re right. Besides, you lost people close to you, too. I shouldn’t make this all about me.”

“Good!” Terry says, beginning to change the subject. Remy looks taken off guard. “Now, help me make this piece of shit into an actual home.”

Remy giggles. “Okay.” She says.

--

Not long after, Remy and Terry begin cleaning the house, listening to loud music on the huge stereo player sitting on top of a wooden table. Terry is painting the walls, while Remy is sweeping the floor. While sweeping the floor, she comes across two glowing eyes, glaring at her from the shadows. Confused, Remy blinks her eyes twice.

The glowing eyes are gone.

Remy shakes her head and continues to sweep, completely dismissing the thought.

--

The house that the duo bought slowly begins turning into an actual livable place. As time progresses, it changes from an old, raggedy, rusty building, into a well designed, clean, and decent home. It’s quite obvious that this task took several months to complete.

--

Remy and Terry are sleeping together on their large bed. Their room is an ordinary room for a young couple. The walls are white, and there’s pictures everywhere, including a picture of Remy in her high school days. There are four other teenagers in the picture, including two African American males, a Caucasian male whose arms are wrapped around Remy, and a beautiful Puerto Rican girl. Remy’s hair is much different in the picture, being a bright, lime-green color.

However, unbeknownst to Remy and Terry, there’s a shadow covering the old picture of Remy, watching over her…

--

Several nights later, a huge party seems be taking place at Remy’s house. Cars are packed everywhere, lights are beaming, and the music is so loud, that it feels like it’s vibrating the whole neighborhood. Needless to say, a lot is going inside.

--

Meanwhile, inside the house, Remy is looking out of the window along with her friend, Alexis Stanford. Alexis is an exotic beauty with fiery red hair and rather large busts. She’s an Italian woman with a piercing on each ear, and a bright diamond bellybutton ring. She wears small clothing to show off her tiny, model-like frame. Remy’s house is packed with people. There seems to be an endless amount of people dancing around and (or) throwing up.

Remy is looking a bit stressed, while Alexis is looking out the window in a calm, confident, manner.

“Where is Terry? He should’ve been back by now!” Remy says, worried that things might not turn out well.

Alexis smiles and puts her hands on Remy’s shoulder. “Calm down, Remy. I doubt it’s Terry’s fault he’s late. This is most likely the work of his bone-headed friend, Kyle.” Remy sighs. “Why are you so stressed? It’s your birthday. I’m more happy for you than you are for yourself.” Alexis jokes.

Remy chuckles. “You’re right… I’m sorry… It’s just that…”

“Remy.” Alexis says, cutting her off. “For the umpteenth time, what happened to you in High School is gone. You can’t live your whole life in fear like this. Let .It .Go.” Alexis suggestions.

Remy sighs. She then continues to look out of the window. Alexis sighs as she rolls her eyes. “I give up.” She says.

--

Meanwhile, Terry is driving around in his large, but rusty van. He has an agitated look on his face as Kyle, a light skinned African American male. Kyle has a large Afro in which he keeps tied up in a bushy ponytail. He could be attractive, but it’s evident that he doesn’t really care about his appearance. Nonetheless, Kyle is sleeping against the car door next to him.

The road appears to be endless, and everything seems to be completely hidden in the darkness surrounding the van. Strangely, there aren’t any streetlights, darkening the long road even further.

Terry’s van suddenly begins to slow down. His gas tank is running on empty. He hits the wheel in frustration.

“Dammit!” He shouts, waking up Kyle, who looks confused.

“What the hell…?” Kyle asks, wiping his eyes.

Luckily for Terry, a gas station is right up the street, although, barely visible. Terry drives up to the gas station and parks in front of one of the gas pipes. He looks towards Kyle and slaps his arm, waking him up.

“What, man!?” Kyle yells, annoyed.

“Get up. You’re paying for my gas.” Terry says.

“What!?” Kyle yells, again.

“It was your idea to come up here in the first place, and now I’m late for my girlfriend’s party. This is the least you could do.” Terry shouts back.

“So!? How was I supposed to know the store would conveniently close on us? She’s your girlfriend, you should’ve already bought her a gift.” Kyle replies.

Terry sighs in irritation and lays his head on the wheel.

“I’m late… I don’t have a gift… Hell, I don’t even have a card… God, I’m screwed.” Terry says.

Kyle is silent. “Well… If it makes you feel any better… The jewelry’s store holding a sale tomorrow.”

“Shut up.” Terry says, exiting the car.

Kyle, once again, is confused. “What!? I was trying to help!” He says.

--

Terry enters the gas station’s “Mini Mart.” The little store looks like any other small convenient store, selling candy, food, drinks, and of course, cigarettes. Terry quickly notices that the counter is usually empty. Suspicious, Terry walks to the counter, looking to see if anyone’s behind it.

“Hello?” Terry quietly says.

He waits for an answer, however, he doesn’t receive one.

“Okay…” Terry says.

--

Meanwhile, Kyle is pumping gas for his friend, just like he was “asked” too. A swift gust of wind blows right past Kyle, somewhat frightening him. He quickly turns around, looking all over the gas station.

He sees nothing.

--

Inside the Mini Mart, Terry is leaned against the counter; smoking some cigarettes he just recently stole from the store. He looks at the watch on his wrist, which says, “9:30”. He sighs.

“Damn…” He says.

--

Meanwhile, at her house, Remy is still looking out of the window, waiting for Terry. Her youthful face is driven in complete fear mixed with sadness. Alexis walks to Remy, carrying two cups of beer. She sighs in annoyance and shakes her head.

“He still isn’t back yet?” Alexis asks.

Remy slowly shakes her head. “No…” She says.

Alexis sighs. “Well, anyway, we can’t stop the party because of him. We need to get things going now. People are getting bored. I’m bored.”

“Then go home.” Remy says, annoyed.

Alexis sighs. She sits the drinks down and faces Remy.

“Remy, Terry is a good guy. He will be here, okay? Don’t worry about it. He and Kyle are probably on their way up here, now.”

“But he still could’ve called!” Remy whines. “There’s no reason for this!” She adds.

“Well, what can you do? Terry still is a guy, and by definition, guys are stupid. They tend to think with their dicks and not with their brains.” Alexis says.

Remy rolls her eyes.

“Come on, let’s at least blow out the candles. We can do the other stuff when Terry comes back.”

Remy takes another look out of the window. She looks at Alexis and nods.

“Okay.” She says.

Alexis puts her arm around Remy’s shoulder, as the two women move into the dinning room. “Everything’s going to be okay.” Alexis can be heard saying.

--

Meanwhile, Terry smokes another cigarette at the counter. He looks towards the window and sees Kyle impatiently waiting by the car. Kyle raises his hands in a, “what’s the hold up?” kind of way. Terry then looks at the door behind the counter on the left side.

“Alright dude, I’m leaving.” Terry says, slamming a fifty-dollar bill on the counter. “…The cash is on the counter.”

Terry then begins to head out of the store when suddenly; the door behind the counter slowly begins to open. Caught off guard, Terry slowly begins to turn off. A middle-aged man begins walking out of the door very slowly. Terry gasps in shock as he notices the man’s blood-covered white apron.

“Oh SHIT!” He shouts.

The man suddenly collapses on the ground. Terry runs to him, shaking him gently.

“Wake up, man… I’m gonna get you some help, okay? Hang in there!” He says.

The traumatized man looks at Terry. He’s trying to speak, but the words can’t come out. The man only makes faint noises instead. Terry leans closer to the man to attempt to understand what he’s saying. The man then grabs Terry tightly with his bloody hands, squeezing him. Terry looks completely taken by surprise.

The man then dies. Terry looks horrified as the man’s hands suddenly falls from his now blood-covered jacket. Terry slowly begins to stand to his feet. He slowly begins to back away, looking at the brutalized body in total disbelief. Suddenly, Terry backs up against something…however…it’s not the wall.

Terry’s face suddenly becomes mixed with fear and confusion. Before he can even turn around, the tall figure behind him suddenly grabs him. Terry screams in pain as the figure jabs into him several times, splashing blood everywhere.

--

Meanwhile, outside, Kyle is leaning over the van, waiting impatiently. He begins to hear Terry’s loud, frightening scream.

“Oh shit! Terry!” Kyle yells as he runs to the Mini Mart. He attempts to open the doors, but to avail; it’s locked. Blood is being splattered all over the doors. Kyle continuously bangs on the door, screaming Terry’s name over and over.

Suddenly, the blood splattering stops, and the lights shut completely off. It gets completely quiet.

“No… This can’t be happening…” Kyle says, in total disbelief. “TERRY!” He yells again.

Suddenly, Terry’s badly damaged corpse is thrown against the wall, shocking Kyle. Terry has holes all over his body, and his face looks as if it was painted red. His body is rendered with slash marks, and his eyes are nearly falling from his face.

Kyle quickly backs away from the store, falling on the ground as a result. Terry’s dead body falls on the floor, as a shadow appears behind it, glaring sharply at Kyle.

Kyle gets up from the ground and runs to the car. He gets inside and speeds away from the gas station. Kyle turns around to take another look at the shadow figure that murdered his friend…but it’s gone.

--

Meanwhile, Remy, with Alexis by her side, is in the dining room, surrounded by all of her friends and the other guests at the party. Everyone claps and cheers as she blows out the candles. She laughs loudly afterwards.

“Happy birthday, Remy.” Alexis says, before giving her friend a hug.

Remy hugs her back. “Oh, thank you, Alexis.”

Alexis then gives her a red box. She smiles. “Open up.”

--

Kyle is driving down the dark road. His face is completely blank. It’s obviously he’s in disbelief over what happened. He looks over at the time, which says, “10:30”. A whole hour has passed.

--

Remy smiles and laughs as she receives more gifts from her friends.

“Thank you so much, guys!” She says, giving everyone a hug.

Suddenly, the party stops when someone begins banging on the door repeatedly. The music stops as everyone faces the door, completely confused.

“…Is someone gonna open that?” Alexis asks.

Tears begin forming in Remy eyes. She knows this isn’t good.

One of the party guests opens the door. Kyle rushes to get inside the house, completely frantic, and out of breath. He runs to Remy and Alexis, both who are looking at him in concern.

“Kyle….what’s?-”

Kyle cuts Remy off. “Remy… It’s Terry… He’s…!”

The glass window in the dining room completely shatters as a brutalized corpse is thrown inside the house. Everyone begins screaming while Remy looks completely devastated. Alexis gasps.

“Oh my God…” She says.

On the corpse…Terry’s corpse…a note is stabbed on his forehead by a familiar sapphire blade. The note reads:

I’m back… BITCH.”

Remy suddenly breaks down and falls on the floor in total despair.

“NO…NO…NO!!!!!” She screams.
