Moonlight, Cold Moonlight

Clouds part with a sigh,

Winds blow a strong breeze.

It comes down from heavens,

And pierces the trees.

Cold as the ice

Of an Antarctic storm,

Pale as the ivory

Of the Eastern lord’s horn.

Moonlight, cold moonlight,

Why tease me so?

You beckon my touch

In the darkening snow.

Graceful and charming,

You’ve long held my dreams.

Your voice is so haunting,

It flows like a stream.

Light as a feather,

You wear not one cloak.

But when I reach out,

You vanish like smoke.

Your beauty moves mountains,

Thund’rous and mighty,

You tread air divinely,

My young Aphrodite.

Passion and lust,

You know my desire.

Engulf me in flames

From your heavenly fire.

Unlock my soul,

Surrender my key.

Raise me from dust,

Set my heart free.

Moonlight, cold moonlight,

You’ve long led me on,

I’ll dance with you now

From dusk here till dawn.

Moonlight, cold moonlight,

Your life means the most.

In shadows you’re flesh,

In light you’re a ghost.

Moonlight, cold moonlight,

Stay here with me.

Let time come to pass,

Our own eternity.
