It's interesting how

We judge and are judged

By the way we shake hands

With the people across the street

Or simply hold our heads.

High is too proud,

Low too dejected and often

Not worth the wonder.

We see by being seen

And learn through it,

Whether we turn out fancy

Or just plain poor

Depends on this, our ability

To watch, hawk-eyed

And adapt. Evolution they call it,

Our need to keep up,

To avoid being left out, let down.

Our movements are all

So carefully programmed

They cannot accommodate errors.

And we cannot either,

We are now but part of the program.
