Eyes Meet

She walked with her eyes cast down

On soft lips, a permanent frown

Hardly murmuring a sound

Stumbling across hard ground

8888

His eyes were always in a book

Nothing else deserved his look

Happy in his distant nook

Out of it, he was never shook

8888

Two people so blind

To any type of sign

That they were of the same kind

And each other should find

8888

Until, she with focus on her feet

Bumped int him, the bookish elite

Looked up, the adversary to beat

And then, their eyes meet

8888

Their cheeks caught on fire

But eyes burned with desire

Hearts flew higher

The need in them dire

8888

What more to say, its love

Destined from above

Carried on wings of dove

And a gentle shove

8888

Eye met on that day

And on each other stay

No matter what elders say

Happily ever after was on the way
