conch shell

the flowers chime merrily to me
opening their glossy eyes
revealing their opium hearts
baring their souls to the entire universe
they embrace the sun gladly
shimmering smiles
sweet faces
but i close my eyes and listen
i hear the flowers sigh
secretly.

the moon tenderly croons to me
shedding her cloak of mist
muting her affectionate gaze
revealing pale shoulders that rise above mountains
she observes the world impartially
flowing verses
falling notes
but i close my eyes and listen
i hear the moon weep
secretly.

the stars teasingly beckon to me
curling their wispy fingers
batting silver lashes
parting stardust lips that shine with white glitter
they faintly brush the water with their mouths
flirtatious winks
saccharine whispers
but i close my eyes and listen
i hear the stars scream
secretly.

she waves silently to me
mouthing her usual greeting
murmuring with her mild voice
laughing with the sound of bells in her throat
she watches me attentively
feathery eyes
tranquil smile
but i close my eyes and listen
i hear her call
secretly.
